Aimee first joined frank. Pet Surgeons. in November 2020. Prior to this Aimee worked at Holly House Vets for 4 years as part of the exotics team where she was responsible for the nursing and anaesthesia of exotic cases. Aimee was also the senior night nurse which would involve dealing with a lot of the emergency cases. Working in this multidisciplinary environment meant Aimee was a great fit for her role as surgical nurse with frank. Pet Surgeons.
Aimee was with the fPS team until May 2023 when she moved to Kyoto to spend a year living in Japan. We were thrilled when she moved back and re joined the team in September 2024. Aimee was delighted to re-join the team at frank. because of the high standard of pet care and working alongside the knowledgeable team that is responsible for care of complex and surgical cases. Aimee would love to further progress her nursing career by completing the VTS in surgical nursing.
Aimee has a rescue lurcher named Koda. In her spare time Aimee enjoys indoor and outdoor bouldering and attending comic book conventions. She is a member of the Association of Zoo and Exotic Veterinary Nurses and has given talks at the annual convention.

Amy has worked in the veterinary industry since completing her A-levels in 2011. She originally worked as an animal care assistant in a large Leeds based Veterinary Hospital where she gained reception, animal handling and emergency experience. She then started her Veterinary Nurse training at a 24-hour Harrogate based Veterinary Hospital, where she developed her passion for referral work, surgical and anaesthesia nursing. Amy qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in January 2017 after achieving the NVQ in veterinary nursing at Myerscough College. She is excited to be part of the nursing team at frank. Pet Surgeons. and hopes to achieve further qualifications in Emergency and Critical Care, and the Advanced Veterinary Nursing Diploma.
Amy is from Leeds and outside of work enjoys socialising with friends, going to the races and going on long country walks with her husband and dog Reggie.

Before joining fPS Anna worked at Abbey House Veterinary Hospital for six years.
Initially joining Abbey House as a dispensary assistant, she progressed to Animal Care Assistant and then trained as an RVN.
After becoming a surgical RVN with Abbey House she was keen to develop her skills further and so joined the frank. team in August 2023. Anna is keen to take her knowledge a step further and is particularly interested in expanding her skills within anaesthesia and surgical nursing, hoping to complete a certificate in one of these areas.
The highlights of Anna's job are expanding her knowledge every day. Getting to see pets go home feeling a lot better than they did when they arrived at frank. especially when she has been part of their journey, and working with a supportive team.
Anna loves how frank. is so different by having all of its procedures as a fixed price, as well as the 6 months surgical complications warranty.
Anna has a chocolate labrador called Bernard and a horse called Paddy.
Outside of work Anna enjoys horse riding, exploring new places (travelling and dog walking) and going to the gym.

Having previously completed her veterinary nurse training at Tweed House, a busy first opinion practice with high standards of nursing care, Annabel was keen to join the frank. team in October 2024 when the RVN role came up. Annabel wanted to expand her knowledge and nursing skills and felt fPS with a reputation for its level of care and expertise was the place for her to do so.
Annabel loves to see patients come back for their follow up appointment having recovered from their surgery. She feels the standard of client care through its fixed pricing and 6-month surgical complications warranty sets frank. apart from other practices.
In early 2024 Annabel rescued a cat and called him Binx. She also has a horse named Mika.
In her spare time, she likes to read, listen to music and spend time with friends.
Annabel is currently undertaking a bachelor's degree in veterinary nursing. Once she has finished, she would love to do a certificate in anaesthesia.
Annalisa graduated from the University of Pisa in 2003. After training in Rome working alongside some of the most accredited specialists in soft tissue surgery, orthopaedic surgery, neurology-neurosurgery, she moved to the UK in 2008 where she worked across the country in general practice.
In 2011 she moved back to Italy where she worked in various practices as an orthopaedic, soft tissue and neurosurgeon. Between 2014 and 2016 Annalisa was head of the surgical department in a referral practice in central Italy.
In 2016 Annalisa moved back to the UK and worked in London where, in 2018, she gained her Certificate in Small Animal Surgery. Before moving to frank. Pet Surgeons. she worked in a referral centre in Cumbria.
Annalisa is interested in all areas of small animal surgery, in particular orthopaedic and neurosurgery. She is looking forward to developing her skills further as part of the frank. team.
Outside of work she enjoys riding her motorcycles, travelling, photography and having a nice glass of vegan wine whilst enjoying the company of her two cats.

Chloe joined frank. Pet Surgeons. in January 2025, having previously worked at another Veterinary Referral Centre for four years.
Chloe brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with her having undertaken multiple roles from client care, insurance handling and most recently Business Relationship Manager.
Chloe's favourite part of her role is seeing all the pets come into the hospital and the variety of cases that we see. She has a keen interest in social media and marketing so keep an eye out for Chloe and her camera!
Chloe is passionate about her role and everything frank. Pet Surgeons. offers in terms of quality care being accessible, fixed price packages and giving all clients the best service and care whilst their pets are with us at the most worrying of times.
Outside of work Chloe loves to binge a drama TV series, spend time with her family, lots of shopping and cooking/baking.

Claire joined the fPS team in April 2022 having previously worked as a head nurse at Beechwood Vets in Doncaster, a first opinion and referral vets.
During her 10 years at Beechwood, Claire undertook her advanced surgical diploma and an emergency critical care certificate.
Claire's goal has always been to work purely in the surgical field, so when she saw the role at frank. it was her ideal opportunity. Claire is looking forward to expanding her knowledge and would like to look at doing another certificate.
Claire's loves all aspects of the peri-operative care environment, when patients are completely reliant on the nurse to make sure they are receiving gold standard care is a passion of hers. Working alongside an experienced and knowledgeable team is where she thrives.
Claire loves the fixed pricing that frank. offers. Not only does it ensure that all pets receive the same gold standard care without discriminating the owners due to cost, as a pet owner she knows this takes away the worry should her pet need Specialist treatment.
Claire has two cats; Nigel and Tilly and a horse called Mischief who lives up to her name!

Daniel qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 2019 and spent two years in small animal general practice in North Lincolnshire. He then completed a rotating internship in a referral hospital in the North West before joining frank. Pet Surgeons, initially as a Surgical Intern before gaining the ECVS Residency position in August 2024.
He has a keen interest in soft tissue, orthopaedic, and neurosurgery. He is currently undertaking the RCVS Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice.
Daniel strives to offer patients gold standard care and aims to offer clients a straightforward, transparent, and accessible service.
In his spare time, Daniel is a runner, hill walker, and occasional boulderer. Daniel has a tortoiseshell cat called Maisie who is not as active as he is, and spends most of her days sleeping.

Dawn joined the reception team at frank. in March 2022 having previously worked as an office manager/receptionist in a physiotherapy and rehabilitation.
With 8 years of experience in her previous role Dawn had insight into the life changing possibilities of specialist treatments and gained many transferable skills in admin and diary management.

Having previously worked at Abbey House as a Client Care Associate and Animal Handler, Devon was keen to find a more ‘hands on' role in the surgical side of veterinary care where she could spend time with patients and learn new skills. When the role of Animal Care Assistant came up at frank. Pet Surgeons in October 2021 Devon was thrilled to be able to progress her animal care journey. Devon has always been intrigued to study animal behaviour and her dream would be to own a doggy day care business, she is excited to see what the future brings as she progresses within the veterinary profession.
Devon loves that she can learn something new every day, is surrounded by a great team who can support her learning and of course spending quality time with the pets.
Devon does not currently have any pets of her own, but she cannot wait to have a dog (or two) once she is in the right home. In the meantime, she is happy spending time with family pets.
Devon enjoys spending quality time with her partner, family and friends, her hobbies are dancing and cooking up a tasty meal.

Dr. Bruce Nwadike is an American board-certified veterinary surgeon with a special interest in orthopaedics, surgical oncology, general and reconstructive surgery. He moved to southern Maryland in 1999 from North Carolina where he was a faculty surgeon at North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He co-owned and operated a private small animal referral & emergency hospital in Maryland from 2002 to 2023 and recently emigrated back to the UK where he was born. He also served for 6 years on the Editorial Review Board for the Veterinary Surgery journal.
When away from frank. Pet Surgeons. Bruce locums as an adjunct faculty surgeon at Midwestern University College of Veterinary Medicine in Glendale, AZ. He has been a Surgeon Advisor/Lecturer for Orthomed (UK) Limited and Infiniti Medical since 2019, instructing small animal orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery seminars and workshops in North America, Europe, the UK, Africa and Australia. In his spare time, he enjoys several outdoor activities; hiking, biking, fishing, sightseeing, and volunteering as a sled dog veterinarian on the Iditarod Trail Race since 2011.

Faye completed her training at Towerwood Vets and stayed there for 7 years altogether, moving to Abbey House for one year. Faye's previous experience in a fast-paced practice gave her a better insight of what to expect day to day when she took on the role at fPS, giving her the ability to remain calm and focussed.
Having recently achieved her surgical nursing certificate Faye wanted to use her knowledge and gain more experience within a referral practice. She really enjoys surgical nursing and wants to delve into seeing a larger case load and more complex surgeries. Faye loves surgical nursing and monitoring anaesthetics and the challenges they bring, as well as caring for patients and seeing them return to full health. Faye feels fPS are great at putting the clients first, and the high level of care they provide to each patient, treating them as their own.
Faye has a red Border Collie called Pippa. She loves playing with her ball and going out into the countryside for long walks. In her spare time, she loves to spend time with Pippa, going for walks, and enjoys going to the gym, reading and seeing friends. She has also recently just got back into an old hobby of horse riding. In 5 years', time Faye sees herself still working at fPS, with a lot more knowledge than she has now and being able to help other nurses delving into the referral nursing role.
Hollie has worked with animals since 2012 and underwent her training in a referral practice. She qualified as a registered veterinary nurse in January 2017 at Myerscough College, before gaining further experience working as head veterinary nurse in a first opinion pratice. Hollie joined the frank. Pet Surgeons. team in August 2018, working as an RVN until March 2022 when she took on the role of Office Manager.
In her spare time Hollie enjoys horse riding, gym classes and spending time with family and friends. She is also a keen traveller, and loves exploring new cities and immersing herself in the culture of different countries around the world.

Kate is a highly experienced nurse, with 18 years in a variety of practices under her belt. A qualified RVN since 2006, she holds additional qualifications in coaching and assessment of students, and in Hydrotherapy. Promoted to Assistant Nursing Manager in her previous role, Kate brings a wealth of experience to the frank. Pet Surgeons. team, and is looking forward to pursuing her interest in anaesthesia and imaging, and continuing to develop her nursing career as part of our team.
Kate has a selection of pets at home, including a Bullmastiff called Billy, a Jack Russell called Charlie, and a horse called Tolley. Much of her spare time is taken up with exercising them, and she also enjoys reading and walking.

Kathryn joined frank. Pet Surgeons. having worked at Beechwood Veterinary Group for six years, where she completed her nurse training and her feline nursing certificate.
The variety of roles Kathryn undertook at Beechwood gave her the skills required for when she joined the frank. Pet Surgeons. team in July 2021.
Kathryn is thrilled to be a part of the frank. team so that she can expand her knowledge and experience and is looking forward to the challenging cases she will see at frank. She would like to progress her nursing further by completing a certificate in emergency and critical care or surgical nursing. Kathryn loves her job but her favourite part is radiography and perioperative nursing.
Kathryn thinks that the frank. ethos of being open and transparent, with no surprises for owners, along with the six-month surgical complications warranty is really refreshing as this is not something that is standard in veterinary practice.

Prior to joining frank. Pet Surgeons. Katie worked at the Friendly Animal Clinic. Whilst there Katie had the opportunity to be involved in a variety of cases and learn which areas of nursing she enjoyed the most.
Having had some exposure to orthopaedic procedures helped Katie to prepare for her role at fPS. Katie is keen to expand her nursing skills to a more advanced level, particularly with anaesthetics. Having had friends and previous clients who'd had their pets treated at frank. and were so grateful for the service they received; Katie was delighted join the frank. team in October 2024.
Katie really enjoys radiography and monitoring anaesthetics, as well as working a full week on wards as she gets to see the pet's whole journey whilst they are with us at frank. and be a part of their recovery process. Katie is keen to develop her skills further and would love to complete a certificate in anaesthesia nursing.
Katie thinks the 6 months surgical complications warranty is rare and it helps give owners piece of mind that there wont be any additional costs just around the corner.
Katie has a rescue kitten called Maple Mayhem and a ferret named Kayos. In her spare tome she enjoys readings, baking, going to gigs and festivals and traveling to new countries.

Kayleigh has worked in the veterinary industry since 2009, initially in a first opinion small animal practice, then in a referral hospital where she gained her level 3 diploma in 2013. She then worked for a veterinary charity hospital, before moving into a management role as deputy head nurse at a large referral hospital with 11 branch practices. Much as she enjoyed the challenge, Kayleigh missed the hands-on nursing, and joined frank. Pet Surgeons. in October 2019 as a surgical nurse. As well as having a keen interest in anaesthesia, analgesia and imaging, Kayleigh really enjoys spending time reassuring and soothing patients both pre-op and during their recovery.
In her spare time, Kayleigh enjoys spending time with family and friends, and also loves getting out and about in the countryside, either with her husband, or on Kato, a horse that she part shares. She doesn't have time for a pet of her own, but regularly steals Jeff, her sister's Shih Tzu.

Kayleigh worked at Vets4Pets Bramley, then Abbey House Veterinary Hospital before joining the frank. team in July 2021 as Animal Care Assistant.
With six years' experience as an Animal Care Assistant Kayleigh is a great fit for the role having developed skills to support vets and nurses alike. Kayleigh further developed her skills having studied at the College of Animal Welfare and hopes to do additional learning in the future.
Kayleigh is passionate about high quality pet care and loves the ethos of transparency that frank. Pet Surgeons. has. She feels the fixed pricing structure means clients can properly plan the care for their animals.
Kayleigh's favourite part of the role is observing interesting and complex surgeries, cleaning instruments, and organising the kit room.
Kayleigh has a dog named Bruce, two cats Japer and Dexter, a snake named Chester and most recently when Harry the rescue dog came to frank. Pet Surgeons. for treatment Kayleigh fell in love with him and he has now been adopted by Kayleigh and her husband.
When she isn't looking after her pets, Kayleigh has a vast collection of indoor plants … over 75! Kayleigh also likes to cross stitch and enjoys film nights with friends.

Lauren joined the frank. team having previously worked at White Cross Vets and Tweed House Vets, roles which gave her lots of experience in general nursing ahead of joining frank. Pet Surgeons. in August 2021.
Lauren was thrilled when the role of Surgical Veterinary Nurse came up as she was keen to do more ‘hands on' nursing which she trained hard for. Lauren feels fPS puts its clients first and has high standards of care, something which she is passionate about. Lauren is keen to develop her nursing skills further and would like to complete a surgical nursing certificate.
Lauren loves her job, but her favourite part is being in wards caring for the inpatients.
Lauren has three rescue cats: Tinkerbell, Sky and Sheldon.
In her spare time Lauren loves to bake … a skill which her frank. colleagues love! She also likes to spend time with family and friends and go to gigs and festivals.

Lauren originally graduated in Film and TV Production, and worked in corporate video production for 5 years, before taking on a role as a support worker for the elderly and vulnerable. This blend of transferable skills made her an excellent choice to take on the challenge of a reception role at frank. Pet Surgeons., where her ability to quickly build rapport and trust with clients will be highly valued. She is passionate about delivering great customer service and is a fervent advocate of the frank ethos - open and honest communication and putting pets and owners at the heart of everything we do.
Although Lauren does not have her own pet, one day she would love to have a dog. In her spare time, she enjoys running outdoors, spending time with friends and family, and keeping her multimedia skills alive with a spot of photography.
Louise previously worked as a volunteer coordinator for Leeds City Council, before joining frank. Pet Surgeons. to take on the unique role of Client Advocate. This newly created role suits her down to the ground, due to her experience of helping and supporting people in a variety of often tricky situations. The ethos of frank. Pet Surgeons. fits perfectly with her ideology of putting people (and of course their pets) first, and her caring nature means that referring vets, patient owners, and most importantly - their pets, get the very best care and attention. Louise is from Leeds and in her spare time enjoys running, spending time with her family and friends and going on holiday.

Maria graduated from the Veterinary School Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, in 2007. From 2007 to 2011 she worked in private practice in Athens, as a clinician in both internal medicine and surgery.
In 2011 she joined the Veterinary School of Alfort, in Paris, where she stayed until 2017, working within the Small Animal Surgery Department, also becoming involved in clinical teaching. During her time in Alfort, she undertook her European College of Veterinary Surgeons (ECVS) Residency.
In 2017 Maria moved to Dublin where she worked as Assistant Professor within the Small Animal Surgery Department at the School of Veterinary medicine Dublin, a role she occupied for 1 year.
Maria passed her ECVS Board examination in 2023 making her an EBVS European Specialist in Small Animal Surgery.
Maria has a passion for orthopaedics, neurology and soft tissue. She believes in a high standard of care for her patients and the frank ethos of honest communication with pet owners. Maria enjoys the variety of cases that are referred to fPS and has an enthusiasm for sharing her knowledge and experience in surgery with the rest of the team.

Having worked in a variety of animal care roles for the past 10 years, Matthew was a great addition to the frank. team when he joined the us in November 2021. Matthew previously worked at Pets at Home, and before that worked at Abbey House Veterinary Hospital as both a kennel assistant and student nurse.
When the role of Animal Care Assistant came up, Matthew was thrilled at the opportunity to work in the veterinary environment again. His favourite part of the job is helping set up for surgeries and interacting with the pets.
Matthew thinks the fixed pricing at frank. is a brilliant concept and makes budgeting for clients much easier.
Matthew has a domestic shorthair named Koda. He enjoys playing board games and video games with friends. He also enjoys doing craft projects, his most recent to make a custom box and pieces for one of his favourite board games.

Before joining the frank. team Michelle was a retinal photographer for the NHS Diabetic Screening Programme, and prior to that worked as a senior care assistant.
Michelle is used to working within a busy team environment and adhering to the policies and procedures of a health care environment. Michelle was ready for a new challenge in a surgical setting, so when the role of Animal Care Assistant came up in August 2021 this was the perfect opportunity for her.
Michelle's favourite part of the role is being part of a great team and seeing animals recover and go home. Michelle loves the honest pricing at frank. Pet Surgeons. and finds the ‘frank.' approach of being honest and open very refreshing.
Michelle does not have any pets of her own although spends time looking after her daughters' dog Koda … spoiling him with treats.
When Michelle isn't working or looking after Koda she likes to read and spend time with her family.

Naomi joined the frank. team in September 2021 having previously worked as a receptionist at the PDSA.
Having worked in a number of customer facing roles, Naomi was excited to join the frank. team who put customer service at their heart. Naomi is passionate about believing in the job that she does and feels what frank. stands for; to make gold standard care accessible, really makes a difference to people and their pets' lives, which gives her real job satisfaction helping clients through a stressful and worrying time.
Naomi loves the fact that every day is different at frank., her favourite part of the role is interacting with the clients and their pets.
Naomi has a rescue cat named Biscuit.
In her spare time Naomi enjoys spending time with friends and family and experiencing new adventures in life. She loves to travel and is a massive foodie so loves to eat at new restaurants enjoying good food and good company.

Olivia has worked with animals since 2013 - undergoing her veterinary nurse training in a referral practice before qualifying as an RVN in 2018 at Myerscough College. She then joined a first opinion practice as head nurse, gaining a lot of relevant experience, and affirming her desire to develop her career in the field of referral/specialist nursing. Olivia joined frank. Pet Surgeons. in January 2019 and is looking forward to focusing on her main areas of interest, which are anaesthesia, radiography and surgical nursing.
In her spare time, Olivia enjoys going to the gym, travelling and spending time with family and friends. She has a cat called Reuben who loves his food!

Phil has always had an interest in surgical nursing and anaesthesia so is keen to learn more about it being based in the frank. team. Phil enjoys the variety of surgeries that frank. offers. Phil is keen to develop his skills further and would like to pursue a qualification in anaesthesia.

Rebecca joined the frank. team in April 2022 having previously worked as a student vet nurse, and then at North Rigton Country Kennels and Cattery for 5 years.
Rebecca was keen to get back into veterinary care and has always wanted to work in referral orthopaedics, so when the role of animal care assistant came up she knew this was the right move for her.
Having extensive knowledge and experience of animal care and husbandry, along with surgical and medical care from her university studies, Rebecca is a great fit for the role.
Rebecca's favourite part of the job is lending a helping hand and being able to be part of the care and rehabilitation of poorly pets.
Rebecca is keen to expand her knowledge of veterinary care working at frank.
Rebecca says frank. is hands down the nicest and most supportive workplace she has worked in, and everyone is incredibly welcoming and understanding.
Rebecca has a mini dachshund X Jack Russell and a standard dachshund X springer. Rebecca also lives with her Mum's dogs; a cockerpoo and a sproodle ….her spare time is taken up with going on long walks with her dogs, always best when they end up in the pub garden. Rebecca also enjoys going out with her friends.

Rebecca joined the frank. team in September 2021 having previously worked at Groundwork, a charity which supports communities.
Rebecca was in her last role for ten years, so she was keen to find a role where she could continue to support people and make a real difference. When the position of receptionist came up at frank. this was the perfect role for Rebecca, as it meant she could not only support people but also their pets.
Her favourite part of the role is meeting the pets and hearing all the stories that owners tell her about them.
Rebecca loves the fact that she can focus her attention on making sure owners are put at ease when they arrive at frank. Having had to go through surgery with her own dog, Buster a Pug Cross, Rebecca understands how important this is as a pet owner. Rebecca also has two Netherland dwarf rabbits Bro and Spot.
In her spare time Rebecca enjoys spending time with family and friends, and doing activities such as Go Ape and camping.
Rosy joined the frank. team in November 2024 having previously worked at Vets4Pets for 5 years. Whilst wanting to gain experience in the referral setting and improve her skills, having previously worked in a fast-paced environment that carried out a variety of surgeries, Rosy knew she had a good skill set for the RVN role at frank.
Rosy's favourite part of the role is anaesthetics and inpatients. She loves to see pets improved when they come for their follow up appointments.
Working in a hospital with high standards, along with fixed pricing where owners don't have unexpected high costs was something that Rosy really liked about frank.
Rosy would love to complete an emergency and critical care certificate, before progressing to an anaesthesia one.

Samm completed her training at Chantry Vets before moving to Battle Flatts Veterinary Clinic working with exotics.
Ready for a new challenge and keen to learn new skills, Samm joined the team at frank. in September 2022. Having previously worked in a fast-paced environment and with a desire to maintain high standards, providing gold standard care to pets at frank.
Samm is keen to develop her skills further and would love to complete a certificate in surgical and anaesthetic nursing.
Following the pet's journey from their first appointment through to their follow up and seeing the improvement they have made gives Samm great job satisfaction.

Scott is the Surgical Specialist who heads the team at frank.. After graduating from Glasgow University Vet school in 2001 his first job was as a Temporary Veterinary Inspector during the Foot and Mouth epidemic of that year. He then spent six years in general practice, both mixed and small animal, before moving to Croft Veterinary Hospital in Northumberland to work with Malcolm Ness and undertake an ECVS Residency. He completed his RCVS Certificate in Small Animal Surgery in 2009, became a European Specialist in Small Animal Surgery in 2013 and an RCVS Recognised Specialist in 2014.
In 2013 Scott moved to North Downs Specialist Referrals, a large multidisciplinary referral hospital based in Surrey, before moving to Willows Referral Services in Solihull in 2015, which is one of the largest multidisciplinary referral hospitals in Europe.
Scott is actively involved in clinical research and CPD provision. He has published extensively in the veterinary literature and has lectured widely in the UK, Europe, USA and Australasia.
He left Willows in 2017 to pursue his dream of establishing his own surgical referral hospital with the aim of working in partnership with local vets to provide accessible veterinary specialist surgery to the pet owners of Yorkshire and beyond.

Sian trained in New Zealand and the UK and has over 15 years nursing experience. She has worked in a wide variety of practices including charity, emergency and exotic referral before coming to work at frank. Pet Surgeons.
Sian has additional qualifications focusing on surgical nursing, theatre practice and anaesthesia and she loves working at frank. Pet Surgeons. as she gets to use her skills on a daily basis.
Outside of work Sian enjoys travelling to see friends and family and has a black cat called Oberon.
Tomas graduated from the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro in Portugal in 2014. Following graduation, he completed externships in both Brazil and Spain. He then returned to Portugal, where he worked for five years in general practice and small animal hospitals across the northern region. Tomas then relocated to the UK, where he balanced work in general practice with locum positions, eventually transitioning to roles in small animal referral centres.
After completing a rotating internship at a large, multi-disciplinary veterinary hospital in Derbyshire, UK, he joined frank. Pet Surgeons. as a surgical intern in July 2024.
Tomas has a broad interest in surgical procedures, with a particular focus on traumatology and neurosurgery. He holds a certificate in small animal surgery from the University of Liverpool, accredited by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. Driven by his passion for neurosurgery, he is also currently pursuing additional certification and accreditation in Neurology and Neurosurgery.
In his free time, Tomas enjoys playing the guitar, listening to music and riding his motorcycle.

Vannessa previously worked in a variety of customer service roles, before joining the reception team at frank. Pet Surgeons. the week before opening. Her extensive customer-facing experience has helped her to understand the importance of good customer service, which makes her a great addition to the team. She is very excited to have the chance to be part of such an exciting venture, right from the beginning, and can't think of anything more satisfying than working for a company that helps to save/improve the quality of lives. Her favourite part of her job is getting to meet all the animals and clients and being part of such a great team.
In her spare time Vannessa likes socialising with friends and has a passion for finding and collecting old and 1st edition books. She also enjoys travelling and one day hopes to do Route 66 and other driving holidays throughout the USA. Sadly, Vannessa no longer has any pets but looks forward to the day she can get another.
