Doris Day is the star of a string of successful film musicals was also famous for her work as an animal welfare activist.
The news of Doris Day's death was confirmed by the Doris Day Animal Foundation. She was born Doris Mary Ann Kappelhoff in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was known for a plethora of successful musicals and romantic comedies, including Pillow talk, as well as a singing career that encompassed twenty-nine studio albums.
Doris Day descended from German immigrants to the US, she 1st gained fame with a recording of of Sentimental Journey in 1945 as a vocalist for Lea Brown and his Band of Renown, this song went on to become a popular second world War anthem and by 1946 she became the highest paid female singer in the world. Day had an amazing career that other people only dream of, she was married four times, to musicians Al Jorden, George Weidler, Melcher, Barry Comden, with her husband she only had one child and the only one, Terry Melcher, he died in 2004.
Doris Day received the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2004.

After five years, he worked as a visiting scholar (about nephropathology and genitourinary pathology) in the Department of Pathology, School of Medicine, Indiana University for 4 months in 2010. He worked as a visiting scholar in the Renal and Transplant Pathology Laboratory and also as a researcher in Renal Research Laboratory, Department of Pathology, College of Medicine, Ohio State University for 8 months in 2011.
He active scholarly endeavors include section editor and peer-reviewer for scientific journals, and lecturer in national scientific meetings. His H-index is 22. His international and national publications are as follows: 1 book editorial and 1 chapter authorship published in English by an international publishing house, Author of 2 chapters in the textbook published in Turkish by the national publishing house, International 103 articles, National 45 articles, 73 poster and oral presentations presented at international congresses, 105 poster and oral presentations presented at national congresses.
