Dr Justin Evans

Dr Justin Evans is a specialist colorectal surgeon. He trained in general surgery at Royal North Shore Hospital Sydney and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. He undertook specialist training in colorectal surgery at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Adelaide and then at the University of Toronto in Canada. He is a Fellow of the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand. He has special expertise and extensive experience in laparoscopic and robotic colorectal surgery, and transanal minimally invasive surgery. Dr Evans is a Visiting Medical Officer at Royal North Shore Hospital, and at North Shore Private Hospital, Northern Beaches Hospital and the Mater Hospital. He was a Councillor and former Treasurer of the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand between 2008 and 2014. Dr Evans has numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and is an active clinical researcher.

Dr Margaret Schnitzler

Associate Professor Margaret Schnitzler is a specialist colorectal surgeon, Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and member of the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand. She trained in surgery at Royal North Shore Hospital and obtained further specialist training in colorectal surgery at the Ferguson Clinic in Michigan, USA and the University of Toronto, Canada. She completed her PhD on molecular genetics of colorectal cancer at the University of Sydney.

Dr Rebecca Seton

Dr Seton is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and has a special interest in complex colorectal and abdominal wall surgery.

Dr Stephen Pillinger

Dr Stephen Pillinger studied at the University of Sheffield from 1988 - 1994, was then appointed as an Advanced Trainee in General Surgery at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney from 1999 - 2002. Dr Pillinger is a Consultant Colon & Rectal Surgeon, having commenced Consultant practice in 2005. The major focus of his practice is benign and malignant colorectal pathology, and has particular expertise in minimally invasive Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery, Transanal Endoscopic Dr Pillinger is a full member of the Colorectal Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSSANZ) and the Section of Colon and Rectal Surgeons Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. Dr Pillinger was also a professional cricketer from 1992 - 1995, and his other interests include travel, photography, golf, AFL, rugby and snowboarding.

Dr Yasser Salama

Dr Salama is a general and colorectal surgeon and is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Surgeons. After he gained his Masters degree in surgery he trained in general surgery in New Zealand and subsequently completed his post fellowship training in colorectal surgery in Australia. Dr Salama has worked as a Fellow at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane and Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney where he is currently a consultant staff specialist. He is also a Visiting Medical Officer at North Shore Private, The Mater Hospitals, and Ryde Hospital. Dr Salama is the head of the Total Parentral Nutrition service at Royal North Shore and is actively involved in clinical research.
