VIRGINIA GOLF HALL OF FAME

A vision of former Virginia State Golf Association President Gib Palmer, the Virginia Golf Hall of Fame became a reality in June 2015. Though the induction of the Inaugural Class didn't take place until nearly 11 months later, the seeds for a virtual home honoring Virginia's golf heritage and excellence were sown long before then... Through extensive behind-the-scenes work and collaborations with allied organizations like the Middle Atlantic Section of the PGA, the Virginia Golf Hall of Fame became a reality. The first class honors legends of playing, teaching, professionalism and Rules of Golf knowledge. The induction of the Inaugural Class will spur on a new tradition: Honoring the rich history of golf in the Commonwealth on a yearly basis, with new honorees and a chance to celebrate tremendous memories while looking toward the future.
