Parry Chana - Founder

Job Titles:
  • Founder
  • Owner
Parry Chana first inherited his love for all things mechanical from his father, an engineer with East Africa Airways, who went on to work for Jack Barclay Rolls-Royce. Ultimately, he set up his own workshop in the United Kingdom, as well as a Mercedes-Benz restoration shop in Los Angeles. Parry spent his youth working with his father on cars and developed an incredible understanding and sympathy for them, especially Mercedes-Benz, Ferrari, Porsche, Aston Martin and Jaguar. After training with a firm of chartered accountants in the city of London, Parry utilised his knowledge, hands-on approach, and keen eye for detail to pursue his earnest passion for restoring classic cars, in particular those he was brought up with as a child and had experience working on in the family business. Parry's specialist knowledge now resides in Mercedes-Benz W198 300SL Gullwing Coupes and Roadsters, W121 190SLs, ‘Pagoda' SLs, W107 Coupe and Roadster SLs and all pre-1970 Coupe and Cabriolet. Porsche 356, from Pre-A to Speedsters, early SWB and LWB 911s and classic Ferrari, Aston Martin and Jaguar from the 1950s through to modern day classics. Parry has served for many years as a Mercedes-Benz Club official and technical advisor, as part of the 190SL registry, and as a concours Judge amongst other Pebble Beach judges at events including the Warren Classics, Brooklands Double-Twelve and many marque specialist club events. He has completed many well-known restorations, many of which, have been concours winning cars. His cars have featured on TV documentaries and in books and magazines. With over 40 years of personal experience dealing within this market, Parry Chana has built up an enviable worldwide client base and specialism. He does like to be hands-on though - having restored his own Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Ferrari and Rolls-Royce - whenever the opportunity arises Parry will take an active role in the metalwork, paintwork, mechanical, trim work and rally preparation aspects of the business.
