Ms. Mia Parton is a licensed professional civil engineer and certified project management professional with over a decade of direct experience in the engineering design and construction industry where she has worked for both the private and public sectors. She has successfully managed multi-million-dollar public and private infrastructure projects in Texas including site development, water and wastewater distribution systems, lift stations, elevated storage tanks, utility coordination, property condition assessment engineering reports, as well as telecommunication small cell and outside plant fiber projects. Ms. Parton founded Aeparmia Engineering, PLLC in 2017 where she provides outstanding client services bringing to teams a unique expertise in wet and dry utilities engineering. She is very familiar with local, state and federal standards and regulation as she had obtained various permits from the City of Austin, TxDOT, TCEQ, other various cities and counties. In addition to her technical expertise, Ms. Parton served on non-profit organizations boards, National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) Austin Chapter Committee Vice Chair, American Water Works Association National Health, Safety and Environment Committee chair as well as currently serving as the City of Austin Water and Wastewater Commissioner. EDUCATION Mia obtained a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington. She is currently a licensed Professional Engineer, and certified Project Management Professional PMP®, and LEED Green Associate. She continues to advance her knowledge in industry standards and technologies through her activity in professional organizations and obtaining certifications. EXPERIENCE Throughout her civil engineering career, Mia has designed and managed several Water and Wastewater, land development and dry utilities projects. These projects included engineering reports, construction plans, specifications, analysis, quality control, project management, cost estimating and more. Mia has worked for both the government agency and consulting firms and brings in an advantage for her expertise in both these areas.
