The Red Tent Women's Initiative (RTWI) is a 501c3 providing incarcerated women with skills to heal and improve their lives through trauma informed programs. Our Vision is that a Red Tent class exists in every jail and prison across our nation... As a member of the Board of Directors, I am honored and grateful to support the mission and vision of The Red Tent Women's Initiative. I have taught HeartMath® tools and techniques to participants of the RTWI inside the Pinellas County Jail since 2017. Due to COVID, all outside programs have been restricted from operating inside the jail since March 2020. During this time, the BOD and RTWI team have worked tirelessly to update and validate the curriculum, formally integrating HeartMath® Resilience Advantage™ tools and techniques and have developed a data collection process, all of which can be duplicated in other jails.
