CARVER CLIMBING CLUB

The Carver Climbing Club has been cooperating with the Rosenbaum family-owners of the Carver Bridge Cliff and surrounding boulders-since 1991. Our mission is to collect written releases from climbers, limit vandalism and littering on the property, and ensure that climbing activities do not infringe upon the privacy of the Rosenbaum family in their house on top of the cliff... Recognizing climbers that are not part of the Carver Climbing Club has proven even more difficult as visiting traffic to the Carver area has increased. The Portland climbing community has boomed in recent years. The Stone Cliff Inn Restaurant and Bar officially opened in 2004, and visitors have been drawn to the wooded areas surrounding the restaurant since the Carver boulders gained notoriety in the 2008 film Twilight...
