Mick York is a board-certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) specializing in oculofacial plastic surgery. He has been trained by and works in close collaboration with Dr. Bradford Lee. Born and raised in Northern California, Mick graduated from San Jose State University with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and worked in physical therapy. He then attended PA School at Clarkson University in Upstate New York, where he graduated with honors with a Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies and was inducted into the Pi Alpha Honor Society. With a passion for surgery, he completed elective surgical rotations including a cardiac surgery rotation at St. Joseph's Health Hospital, ranked one of America's 50 best hospitals for cardiac surgery. Here, he learned best practices in surgical assisting and managing post-operative care for complex surgical patients. At Oculofacial Plastic Surgery of Hawaii, Mick works side-by-side and in close partnership with Dr. Lee both in surgery and in clinic. He helps with patient consultations, surgical assisting, post-operative care and suture removal, minor surgical procedures, and laser treatments for skin rejuvenation and scar rehabilitation. His friendly nature and excellent communication skills help him connect with a broad range of patients, and he always tries to ensure that patients have their preferences, concerns, and wishes understood by the surgical team.
