HOFFMAN GRIST MILL

The Hoffman Mill at 105 N. Factory Street in Enterprise, KS was re-established in 2016 with a new structure built adjacent to the Abilene & Smoky Valley Railroad. The intent is to make flour products like our ancestors did when the original Hoffman Mill was operating near this site back in the 1800's. Our grinding stones are either an original or one recently reproduced... Louden Falls in 1868. His first flour mill began operation at that location in 1869. Mr. Hoffman named the town that grew around his mill "Enterprise". A post office was established in Enterprise in 1873.
