Lions Clubs are local, individual clubs that collectively make up a world-wide organization known as the International Association of Lions Clubs, or more simply, Lions Clubs International. The Lexington South Lions Club was chartered in 1964. We are one of over 46,000 Lions Clubs worldwide with worldwide membership of over 1.4 million Lions in more than 200 countries and geographic regions. Lions Clubs International is the largest service organization the world. However, no matter how large our international organization becomes, all the work done by Lions is through each individual club finding and filling needs in their own communities.
