Anne Nowak, founder of Maids My Way Inc., became frustrated by not being able to find an individual or a larger cleaning or franchise company who could do the work reliably and completely up to her standards, and not charging an extra fee for what she thought should be routine cleaning. Most importantly, never bothering to ask what was important to her. After talking to friends, neighbors and co-workers for referrals, everyone said the same thing, "I have a someone but I am not real happy with them" Or "they are OK but not great". Then a friend said: "With your background, why don't you start your own business?" With an extensive background in business management and development, she did research to find out what type of a cleaning service would be the most valuable to discriminating client. In an informal survey, she asked what they liked, didn't like and what services they would expect from a cleaning company. With that information, she built a cleaning company around what clients would want, and then took it a step farther to make sure that this new company would promote exceptional value for a great personalized service that will exceed clients' expectations.
