Dr. Vladimir Fedyniak

Dr. Vladimir Fedyniak was born in Ukraine in 1915. He moved to Germany, where he met his wife to be, Vera. Together, they moved to the United States. After several years of working as a veterinarian, Dr. Vladimir opened his own clinic in 1957, Mayfair Animal Clinic PC. Mayfair continues to be family owned and operated by the Fedyniaks to this day.

Dr. Yvonne Costa

Dr. Costa knew she wanted to be a veterinarian since she was a young child growing up in Puerto Rico. She attended Kansas State University where she fulfilled her pre-veterinary requirements. She attended The Ohio State University and graduated in 1987 with a degree in Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, she worked at Mayfair Animal Clinic from 1987-1991. She has continued to practice in the Chicagoland area as a small animal practitioner and has returned to work at Mayfair part-time. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her kids, her two mutts from Puerto Rico, going to music venues, cycling, volunteering with animal rescue associations, and riding her mustang horse, Roland.

Elizabeth Winkler

Dr. Elizabeth became interested in veterinary medicine at the age of five while growing up in Des Moines, Iowa. She attended Iowa State University, attaining a Bachelor of Science in Animal Ecology, followed by a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2012. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, but has a special interest in soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, and the unique health challenges presented by her geriatric patients. Dr. Elizabeth shares her home with two cats, Darwin and Pascal. In her free time she enjoys reading, baking, traveling, art, and exploring this amazing city she now calls home.

Katie Baldwin

Dr. Katie is originally from Chicago. She received a Bachelor's Degree in Biology at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore in 1994 and her DVM in 1998 from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. She then completed an internship at a private specialty practice in Rochester, New York. Finished with her internship, she worked at Mayfair Animal Clinic from 1999-2006, before moving to London, where she worked for a few years doing relief work. Dr. Baldwin returned to the United States and practiced in Chicago for a few years before returning to Mayfair. Dr Baldwin has a strong interest in preventative care and Fear-Free Visits, which is a program designed to make visits to the vet less scary. Dr. Baldwin and her husband Warren (imported from England) and 3-year-old daughter Poppy live with their cats Logan and Wolfie, and dog, Nana, in Roger's Park. In her free time, Dr. Baldwin likes to read, travel, and enjoy the outdoors.

Paul Fedyniak

Dr. Paul is the son of Dr. Mike. He grew up surrounded by dogs. He attended the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign for both his undergraduate and veterinary studies. Dr. Paul has worked at Mayfair Animal Clinic with his father, Dr. Mike, since he was 13 years old. Dr. Paul enjoys the challenge of general practice and finds particular interest in working dogs. He has helped plan training sessions for Police K9 Handlers, and has even started his own Not-For-Profit Corporation, MEDIK9USA NFP INC, which donates canine medical supplies to police, EMS, and the military. When not working, he enjoys painting and drawing, vintage cars, and outdoor activities with his English Mastiff, Tessa, German Shepherd, Otto, and French Bulldog, Olive Pickles.
