MariaJose has specialized in family law throughout her legal career. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia and thereafter engaged in post-baccalaureate study in Rome, Italy, where she focused on conflict resolution among international and intercultural communities. Since she began her legal career at Temple University, she has focused her passion for conflict resolution in divorce and other family law matters. She has practiced family law in small boutique firms serving the needs of people with complex incomes and significant assets and business entities, and she has worked with nonprofits serving the needs of low-income people with significant debt, limited resources, and other complicating legal entanglements.
