MUSIC SCHOOL

New Jersey Drum School is a music school in Palisades Park, New Jersey, that offers drum, percussion, jazz piano, and violin lessons to students throughout the area. We are headed by music instructor, Michael Hinton, who has decades of experience and has worked on many popular Broadway productions, including "Les Miserables", "West Side Story", and "Miss Saigon". He has also performed with The Grateful Dead on numerous occasions and is considered a Grateful Dead Family Member. Michael's wife, Mineko Yajima, is a fellow music instructor and a renowned musician in her own right. She is a Juilliard graduate and a tenured principle member of Lincoln Center's Mostly Mozart Orchestra. In addition, she is a member of the Chamber Orchestra of St. Luke's and currently performs in Disney's "Aladdin" on Broadway... We value a close relationship between students and their parents.
