I am a consultant with over 30 years experience in caring for children and newborn infants. I qualified in 1985 and have been a consultant since 1996. I am accredited in both paediatrics and neonatology and trained in teaching hospitals in Bristol, Nottingham and Leicester. I was a consultant neonatologist in Leicester from 1996-2009 and was head of the neonatal service for nine years before relocating to Guernsey. I now lead a team of 5 paediatricians providing a consultant delivered paediatric and neonatal service for 0-18 years without junior staff or nurse practitioners. In addition, I hold an honourary consultant contract with St Michaels Tertiary Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Bristol.
