Greetings from the Pottawatomie County Museum (Formerly Santa Fe Depot Museum), home of the Pottawatomie County Historical Society. Our purpose is to promote and preserve the history and historical artifacts of Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma for the benefit of posterity... We look forward to your visit to the museum. You will quickly observe that the collection has outgrown the capacity of this facility. The Historical Society is currently raising funds to build an additional museum on land north of the depot. When it is completed and in operation, the collection will be more accessible. The Santa Fe Depot will continue to be operated as a museum and will feature the railroad and transportation history of our county.
