RAUL NU - Key Persons

Raúl Núñez is a multidisciplinary designer & art director with more than a decade and a half of experience under his belt. Born and raised in the Dominican Republic, and currently living in New York City. Raul is well-versed in many different creative disciplines. He focuses his wealth of imagination on brand identity, web design, and illustration. Since a very early age, he had a keen interest in art and design which reflected through his hand painted signs for his school events and for small business around the neighborhood where he grew up. He received his early education from La Inmaculada Fe y Algeria, where he learned screen printing under professor Josue F. Cruz. While studying there, Raul also attended afternoon classes at the National School of Fine Art. With the boom of the internet in the late 90's Raul started experimenting with web design using the technologies available at the time. Largely through self-education, he was able to learn HTML, Flash Animation, and later CSS and Javascript with the introduction of Web 2.0. To compliment his web design skill, he attended Universidad Autonomy de Santo Domingo, where he studied Advertising and Graphic Design, while running his own screen printing shop to pay towards his academic studies. Fate has brought Raul to United States and given him the opportunity to make a name for himself. After working in the food industry for several years where he created award-winning marketing campaigns, print ads, digital marketing, just to mention a few. When not working, he enjoys hanging out with his daughter and wife, going to concerts, reading about blockchain and cryptocurrency, or watching documentaries from the comfort of his living room sofa.
