Dr. Marcie Maloney

Dr. Maloney is from Rock Hill, South Carolina. She is a TUSVM graduate and started her career working in Columbia, SC. In her free time, Dr. Maloney enjoys the outdoors, traveling, and spending time with her family. She holds an interest in internal medicine, surgery, and developing a bond with her patients and their owners.

Dr. Morgan Houde

Dr. Houde is a graduate of the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. Her veterinary interests include surgery, dermatology, and dentistry. When she's not working, Dr. Houde enjoys tennis and running.

Dr. Robert Bruner

Dr. Bruner is a graduate of Washington State University from a long time ago! He joined us in 2010 from Montana where he was founder and co-owner of Best Friends Animal Hospital and Urgent Care Center in Billings. It is now the largest veterinary practice in Montana. Dr. Bruner began his career in Large Animal Veterinary Medicine. He was awarded an internship and residency in Large Animal Medicine and left Academia as an Assistant Professor. At Saint Francis, he enjoys spending most mornings in Soft Tissue and Orthopedic Surgery. He has a special interest in veterinary dentistry. He enjoys seeing clients and their pets for wellness visits and sick patient exams in the afternoons. He volunteers his time for World Vets, a humanitarian organization that sends teams of US veterinarians, students, and nurses to impoverished areas all over the world. They provide veterinary aid and surgical services to animals and instruct local veterinarians. He has been a trip leader to Central and South America, Eastern Europe, Haiti, East Africa, and Mongolia. His favorite trips are to Tanzania in East Africa, providing medical care to the working donkeys of the Maasai. Dr. Bruner has 2 children (one who is a veterinarian!) and 4 grandchildren. He lives in Myrtle Beach with his dog Joey, with whom he has joint custody.

Dr. Trudy Swanda-Foley

Dr. Swanda-Foley grew up on Long Island before moving to South Carolina in her early teen years. After graduating from North Myrtle Beach High School, she attended Auburn University for both her undergraduate and graduate degrees. Dr. Swanda-Foley's veterinary interests are internal medicine, ophthalmology, and dermatology. She and her husband, Bill share their lives with 5 dogs, numerous chickens, several cats, and 2 obstinate geese. Dr. Swanda-Foley is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the South Carolina Association of Veterinarians, and the American Heartworm Society. She is also Human-Animal Bond Certified (Human Animal Bond Research Institute.)
