Jamie Solomon

Jamie Solomon has spent over 15 years in the early childhood field, primarily working as a lead teacher in the preschool classroom. However, she has also taught undergraduate and graduate courses in the field. Jamie has long taken an interest in young children's gender development, publishing research and presenting at national and local conferences. Jamie loves working with young children and their families, and considers herself an advocate for children's rights and childhood in general. When she's not at Scuola, Jamie is busy with her own family eating, sharing stories and being outdoors.

Steffanie Bowles - Founder

Steffanie Bowles founded Scuola Creativa - a school for infants, toddlers and preschool-aged children - in 2014, after successfully helping to start Four Corners Montessori Academy. She also worked as the Coordinator of Special Education at Marygrove College from 2003-2019. Before she discovered the Reggio Approach to education, Steffanie utilized project based approaches in K-12 special education settings for eight years. Once she found the Reggio approach, she spent the next eight years studying it, including three study tours to Reggio Emilia, Italy.
