Brian Van der Waag - CFO

Mr. Van der Waag has 20 years of corporate finance and investment banking experience in various real asset sectors. His most recent experience was that he co-led the natural resources investment banking practice at Janney Montgomery Scott. At Janney his energy coverage focused on Appalachian-based clients. He was responsible for leading merger and acquisition advisory assignments, as well aiding clients in understanding capital markets and developing and executing financing transactions. He assisted on numerous investment banking transactions for both public and private E&Ps, midstream, refining and oilfield service companies. Prior to Janney, Mr. Van der Waag was an Investment Banker at Deutsche Bank out of its European headquarters with relationship coverage responsibilities for infrastructure clients throughout Europe. He started his career at The Blackstone Group as an Analyst and also worked in an FP&A / Business Development capacity at Capital Trust, Inc. Mr. Van der Waag holds a Bachelor's degree and MBA from Georgetown University.

Dan Billman

Mr. Billman has over 30 years experience in the Appalachian Basin with the last 26 as a consulting geologist and President of Billman Geologic Consultants, Inc. Multiple independent E&P's (from "Mom and Pops" to large independents), mid-majors and supermajors with assets in the Appalachian Basin consistently seek geological counsel from Mr. Billman. Most notably, he worked closely with the Rice family as consultant and senior geologic advisor as Rice Energy Inc. acquired its initial acreage positions in the Appalachian Basin. Mr. Billman worked with the Rice family, early, in building what became a force in the Marcellus and Utica Shale plays. Prior to independent consulting, he worked as an exploration and development geologist for private/independent oil & gas companies, Mark Resources Corporation and Eastern States Exploration Company. Mr. Billman is a registered Professional Geologist (PG) in the state of Pennsylvania and an American Association of Petroleum Geologist, Certified Petroleum Geologist (CPG). He has extensive experience in both unconventional (shales, tight gas sandstones and coal bed methane) and conventional development and exploration plays in the Appalachian Basin. Mr. Billman holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Toledo (Ohio) and a Master of Science in Geology from West Virginia University.

Ian Lucas

Mr. Lucas has over 15 years experience in the Appalachian Basin, most recently consulting and managing multiple industry businesses: Lucas Resources, LLC (Owner / Consultant) and SLS PetroServices, LLC (Managing Partner). Prior to independent consulting his experiences ranged through Senior and Staff level Geologist positions in mid-sized independents such as Dominion Exploration & Production (Dominion) and CNX Gas (ConsolEnergy), up to a major integrated oil company (Shell Oil). Mr. Lucas has extensive experience in unconventional assets in the Appalachian Basin, including activities within the Marcellus, the Utica/Point Pleasant, the Huron, and various Coalbed Methane (CBM) plays. Mr. Lucas has many years conducting geologic assessment, prospect identification, resource classification, development planning, and operations management. He has a substantial network of industry contacts working within various operators-both large and small, service companies, suppliers, consulting groups, and professional associations. Mr. Lucas is an American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) member and Certified Petroleum Geologist (CPG) and a member of the American Association of Drilling Engineers (AADE), as well as several local affiliate organizations. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology from Fort Lewis College, Durango, CO and a Master of Science in Geology from West Virginia University, Morgantown, WV.

John Laningham

Mr. Laningham has 10 years experience in various legal and land capacities in the energy sector. Most recently he helped facilitate S.T.L.'s acquisition of over 8,000 acres in North Central Pennsylvania. Prior to S.T.L. Resources, Mr. Laningham was Land Manager and Partner of Iron Will Energy, Inc. where he managed 50+ field employees and responsible for over 150,000 acres in the Eagleford. Mr. Laningham was also the Field Manager for Front Runner Seismic, Inc. where he helped facilitate the permitting for various seismic shoots in Texas, Utah and Pennsylvania. He began his career as a Patent Scientist for Armstrong Teasdale, LLP including intellectual property work for various Fortune 500 companies. Mr. Laningham holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and a Juris Doctor both from St. Louis University.

Nick Wall

Nick Wall, is the Director of Client Relations for STLR. Mr. Wall has over 11 years of experience assisting clients in both the residential and financial sectors of the real estate business, including but not limited to purchasing, title work and deeds. Mr. Wall is a highly skilled sales agent with a passion and commitment to surpassing his client's expectation and providing the highest level of service in the business. Mr. Wall graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Saint Louis University.

Seth Rodriguez

Mr. Rodriguez has over 17 years experience in the designing, permitting, constructing, and operating infrastructure projects in the Appalachian Basin. He has extensive experience in infrastructure planning and well layout for both unconventional, conventional, and UIC exploration and development throughout Ohio, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania. He has completed both vertical and horizontal well layouts across approximately 400,000 acres. E&P program objectives have ranged the full field life cycle, from exploration to delineation though accelerated, multi-rig development and optimization. He has also management 1,000+ miles of pipeline routing, acquisition, construction, and operations. Mr. Rodriguez is a founding member of the Appalachia Petroleum User Group (APUG), a member of Ohio Oil and Gas Association (OOGA) Technical Committee, a member of American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL), and a member of International Right of Way Association (IRWA). Mr. Rodriguez holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Penn State University and a Master of Business Administration from Robert Morris University.

William Dressel - Founder

Mr. Dressel has over 12 years experience in ownership, management, and operations in the oil & gas sector. He formed S.T.L. Resources to be an agile, vertically integrated E&P enterprise engaged in the acquisition, exploration and development of natural gas and oil properties in the Appalachian Basin. Prior to starting S.T.L. Resources, Mr. Dressel founded Iron Will Energy, Inc. ("IWE") a land brokerage company whose primary operations were in the Appalachian Basin. In the Appalachian Basin alone, IWE negotiated on 250,000 acres of oil & gas leases on behalf of E&P's such as East Resources, Fortuna/Talisman, Chesapeake, Halcon, etc.. IWE also negotiated the rights on 200+ miles of pipeline ROW and 125,000 acres of renewable energy development. Mr. Dressel was also the founder and managing partner of Front Runner Seismic, Inc. ("FRS"). FRS specialized in HSE, project management, permitting, GIS mapping and seismic survey services. FRS negotiated land contracts and seismic permits for over 350,000 acres in the Appalachian Basin. In addition, Mr. Dressel worked for Destiny Resources, Long Consulting Group and RedSkyLand Services. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Advertising from International Academy of Design and Technology in Chicago.

William Hayward - Chairman

Mr. Hayward has over 35 years experience in managerial and operational positions in the oil & gas sector, predominantly in the Appalachian Basin. He is the architect of S.T.L.'s experienced and diverse management team, having personal and working relationships with each individual currently on the team. Mr. Hayward is the founder of Hayward Natural Resources, an Appalachian-focused geological prospecting and consulting firm. Hayward Natural Resources has established multiple partnerships across Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia and Texas. These partnerships resulted in the drilling and completion of 2000+ conventional and unconventional wells. Mr. Hayward is an acknowledged expert within the Appalachian Basin and an early researcher and prospector for deep rocks in Appalachia. Mr. Hayward has discovered prospects for Rice Energy, Range Resources, Chevron, Shell, amongst others. Prior to Hayward Natural Resources, Mr. Hayward was a Geologist for Peoples Natural Gas, CNG Development Company, Continental Reserves and Texas Keystone. He holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Geology from the University of Pittsburgh.
