Catherine O'Sullivan

Catherine O'Sullivan, Psy.D., received her Doctor of Psychology degree from St. John's University. Dr. O'Sullivan achieved membership in Pi Gamma Mu, Psi Chi, and Alpha Chi Honor Societies, and she was awarded the Dr. Erica Wick Vincentian Mission Award for her commitment to helping those in need. Throughout her training and professional experience in the field of Psychology, Dr. O'Sullivan developed skills in neuropsychological and psychoeducational assessment, psychotherapy, parent training, and behavioral management of children and young adults. She has received training in many institutions, including schools in Rockland County, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, NYU Child Study Center in the Autism Spectrum Disorders Clinical and Research Program, Blythedale Children's Hospital, and the Center for Psychological Services at St. John's University. She also has specific training and experience in working with individuals affected with a range of developmental and intellectual disabilities. Dr. O'Sullivan has specialized experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, working with children on the Autism Spectrum, helping children with a history of chronic school failure, brain injuries, and learning disabilities. She also has specific knowledge and training in School Psychology, which facilitates her ability to make appropriate recommendations for children with special needs. Later, while completing her 2 year post-doctoral fellowship in a prestigious neuropsychology private practice in Ridgewood, NJ, she received extensive training and guidance in the diagnosis, remediation, and accommodation of learning disabilities and neurocognitive disorders, especially dyslexia and learning disabilities.

Emily Greco

Emily Greco, LCSW, has unique insight into working with children who have a range of needs, as she had previously been a special educator. She brings her expertise and passion for helping children to her therapeutic work. Emily earned her Master of Social Work degree in the Simmons School of Social Work in Boston, MA. She then gained experience in providing counseling to children and families in schools as well as in community based mental health and private practice settings. Emily is proud to develop strong therapeutic alliances with youths while recognizing the importance of family involvement when working with children. Although Emily works with individuals across a range of ages, she specializes in working with young children and providing psychotherapeutic as well as parent training services to them and their families. Emily is trained to provide Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) as well as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and she has advanced training in addressing anxiety in children while supporting parents.

Helen Tam

Helen Tam, PhD, received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology with specialization in Cognitive and Affective Neurosciences from Penn State University after completing a Master's degree in Physiological Neurosciences from UCLA with specialization in Neuroendocrinology as well as a Master's degree in Psychology in the Child Clinical Track from Penn State University. She completed her post-doctoral training at NYU in the Hassenfeld Children's Hospital, where she now acts as a volunteer professor. Dr. Tam is licensed as a psychologist in NY and NJ. Throughout her experience as a neuropsychologist, Dr. Tam has gained expertise in assessing children and young adults affected with a variety of challenges, including ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, specific learning disabilities, brain injuries, and secondary effects of cancer and cardiac events.

Maria LaPorta

Maria LaPorta, PsyD, received her Doctor of Psychology degree from St. John's University. Before pursuing her doctorate, Dr. LaPorta interned at the Albert Ellis Institute, a world-renowned training institute for a type of Cognitive Behavior Therapy, REBT. During her training, Dr. LaPorta gained experience working in public school systems, children's psychiatric wards, and a college counseling center. She was awarded the departmental honor for "Outstanding Clinical Potential in Psychology". During her post-doctoral education, she received specific training and experience in neuropsychological assessment and psychotherapy with adults. In addition, Dr. LaPorta is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist and is Board Certified in Biofeedback to provide clients with stress-reduction training for anxiety. Given her experiences, Dr. LaPorta now provides Cognitive Behavior Therapy to individuals from childhood through adulthood and adapts her approach to meet each unique individual's needs. She also provides neuropsychological assessment services.

Marina Goldenberg

Marina Goldenberg, LPC, LMHC, completed her Bachelor's degree at NYU with degrees in Psychology and Russian Studies. She earned her Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling at Adelphi University in the Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies. She has experience in working with diverse populations in addressing familial and crisis related concerns. She has worked in a college counseling center, in a hospital center as a victim advocate, and as a clinician in Children's Aide Society, Jewish Family and Children's Services of Northern NJ, and CarePlus NJ. Marina is PSI trained to provide services to women affected with perinatal mood disorders. She practices Cognitive Behavior Therapy while fostering her passion for maternal mental health.

Marissa Ross

Marissa Ross, LAC, is working under the supervision of Dr. Catherine O'Sullivan as she accrues hours towards full licensure. Marissa received her Masters degree in Professional Counseling and School Counseling from Seton Hall University. She has experience in working with children and adults working through symptoms of anxiety, depression, and suicidal thinking, as well as those with a trauma history. Marissa also has experience working with young children to help them learn social skills and build emotional regulation. She has unique experience in working with children on the Autism Spectrum. Marissa has obtained training and experience through the public school system, a private school, and private practices. As a therapist, Marissa is a warm, enthusiastic practitioner who provides Cognitive Behavior Therapy and parent training in our Hillsborough, NJ and Ridgewood, NJ locations.

Reenee Richards

Reenee Richards, LMHC, received her Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling from Adelphi University. She has experience in working with children affected with a range of life circumstances, including those in foster care, those with developmental disabilities, and those who are medically fragile. She has worked in Zucker Hillside Hospital inpatient unit with clients diagnosed with a variety of mental health issues, as well as with the NYS Department of Health as a School Mental Health Consultant and the Jewish Child Care Association in NYS as a Licensed Professional Service Practitioner. Across her roles, Reenee has gained unique insight and skills in addressing the emotional needs of children, teens, and young adults, as she focuses on acknowledging client's strengths while helping them gain effective coping skills to face life's challenges.
