Gabriel Finkenstein

Following in his father's footsteps, Gabe also studied at Paier College of Art. He has worked from an early age in the restoration and preservation of carousels. An expert in classical and modern mediums; from the japan oils that turn-of-the-century painters used on vintage wooden carousel pieces (and which WRF Designs continues to use in their restorations), to modern digital illustrations and cutting-edge art. He strives to share the unique qualities and history of these pieces with all generations. Gabe is also an experienced illustrator, cartoonist, and puppeteer.

William "Bill" Finkenstein - Founder

The founder of WRF Designs, Bill studied at Paier College of Art. A master carver and painter he has worked in the art field his entire life, both as a creator and as a teacher. Over 30 years ago he began work on restoring his first antique carousel horse and fell in love. He has been one of the country's premier artists in the field ever since. Bill is the founder of the New England Carousel Museum, dedicating it to his parents Bill and Betty Finkenstein on May 20th, 1989. Bill remains the heart of WRF Designs and is an active historian, educator, and an advocate for the preservation of these unique pieces of antique art.
