Dr. Fleming completed a dermatology residency at SUNY Downstate in 1986 and a dermatopathology fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic in 1988, and is board-certified in both specialties. He was full-time faculty at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center from 1988-1994 and the Medical College of Wisconsin from 1995-2009. He directed dermatopathology labs at both institutions and was also director of MCW's immunodermatology lab for several years. He is the author of 42 papers and book chapters. Ms. Schmidt has a bachelor's degree in Human Relations, but received on-the-job training in histotechnology and immunodermatology at MCW. She worked part-time as a histotech from 2005 and was lead immunoderm tech from 2/08 to 10/09, when she left to help start Fleming Dermatopathology.
