GARRISON ELEMENTARY

​Garrison is a proud and intentionally-diverse community school committed to the vision that every student will be loved, challenged, and prepared to thrive in life. To achieve this, we employ a whole child wellbeing approach to social-emotional learning, and a 'workshop' teaching model that emphasizes student choice, personalization, and authentic learning experiences. We partner with families to build community across difference, with the goal of equity and excellence for our children. Garrison stands on the location of what was once Camp Barker, home to formerly enslaved people who liberated themselves during the Civil War.
