MPP - Key Persons

Dr Fiona McClean

I gained my M.A. (Honours) in Psychology in 1991 and my professional doctorate (D.Clin.Psych.) in 1996 and have been providing psychological services to those in need ever since. The majority of my work has been within the NHS, providing therapy and psychological interventions to adults with a range of mental health challenges (such as anxiety, depression and PTSD), but I have also worked within children's services and in the private sector. Within the last decade I have developed a particular interest in working with adults on the autistic spectrum or are otherwise neurodivergent. I provide psychological therapy and as a qualified and experienced diagnostician, I can also offer diagnostic assessments for autism and ADHD to ongoing therapy clients if this is something you feel would benefit you. I have worked with and listened carefully to a lot of neurodivergent people, both in and out of work. I strive to ensure my practice is as ND-friendly as possible - however I am always learning! I am a member of the British Psychological Society and also registered with the HCPC, the body that regulates health and care professions. Please see my Psychology Today and Therapy Route profiles for further information. I also have a Facebook page (but confess I'm not great at keeping this up to date!)
