David Sheets

David Sheets joined ZINC in 2022 as Director of Investor Relations where he is responsible for the marketing, equity raising and investor relations for the ZINC Income Fund. He brings more than 25 years of marketing, sales and customer service experience in numerous industries. Prior to ZINC, David was the Vice President of Investor Relations at Avistone leading the equity raising and investor relations for offerings focused on industrial and hotel properties. He also was Director of Marketing for the Globe Education Network, where he was responsible for the strategic and creative direction of 6 colleges, spanning 5 states and 31 campuses. David holds a BS in Finance and Marketing from the University of St. Thomas (St. Paul, MN).

Debbie Deacon

  • DIRECTOR of BUSINESS OPERATIONS
Debbie Deacon is the Director of Business Operations here at ZINC Financial, Inc. She joined our team in May of 2021 and is responsible for overseeing effective operation procedures across our company. In addition, Debbie works closely with upper management to identify ways to improve company operations and increase employee satisfaction. As a seasoned professional with over 30 years of business operations experience, Debbie is known for driving brand growth, maximizing operational excellence and elevating our culture. She most recently served as a District General Manager of a Fortune 500 company for twenty years, where she led branding, sales, marketing, operations, employee productivity and maximizing profitability. Debbie's passion for helping people can be traced back to her high school days. Whether as the president of the local candy stripers team in her community hospital or, more recently, as a team leader for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society that focused on raising money to fight blood cancer.

FRED PLASCENCIA

Fred Plascencia joined ZINC Auto Finance as the Collection Severing Manager in December 2021. Fred has built a solid foundation in the Collections Industry with over 17 years of experience in the jewelry, furniture, and auto industries. Fred comes from Southern California with Sub Prime Auto Lending knowledge from Challenge Financial and Credit One. Fred moved to the Central Valley to join Beneficial State Bank, where he added banking to his collections experience. Fred's hard work, charisma, and genuine passion for the industry have helped Fred meet his goals. He has established his reputation for building relationships with consumers in the area and has overseen a portfolio from $10 to $24 million. In addition, Fred has helped put producers and policies together to help consumers and clients. Fred is quickly learning the Real Estate industry and has proven to be a valuable asset to the Collections Department at ZINC Auto Finance.

JACK FERNANDEZ - COO

  • CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER
Jack joined the ZINC team in 2018 as COO to run the day-to-day operations with a primary focus on ZINC's Auto Division. He comes with over 30 years of executive management experience in auto finance. Jack previously served as COO at Premier Auto Credit out of Los Angeles before moving to Fresno. He was also instrumental in the growth and development of companies such as Triad Financial as their COO and at WFS Financial as their Senior Vice President in charge of all National expansion. Jack was also an owner/partner in an independent auto dealership in Orange County that was once prominently featured in the Orange County Register. Jack's diversified background also includes real estate, successfully maneuvering multiple large land development transactions through the tentative and final mapping process in various Southern California cities that eventually became joint venture projects or sold to regional home builders.

JOHN EVANGELISTA - CFO

John joined the ZINC team in 2012 and has over five years of experience in the accounting, forensic analysis, and oversight of various financial investment instruments. He acquired his license as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of California in February of 2012. Before joining ZINC, he practiced in public accounting for six years at CBIZ & Mayer Hoffman McCann, P.C., a national independent CPA firm focusing on litigation and valuation services. He performed analyses in hundreds of litigation engagements involving marital dissolutions, fraud, and fund tracings in this capacity. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.

NICK EDWARDS

Job Titles:

Nick Edwards joined ZINC in 2023 as Servicing Manager where he is responsible for ensuring ZINC's real estate loans are current and borrowers are abiding by their loan agreement terms. He brings over 18 years of escrow, title and servicing experience. Prior to joining ZINC Nick gained valuable experience at Fidelity National Title, Placer Title and Financial Title. Nick's client relation skills, hard work, and tenacity have helped ZINC meet its goals in loan payoffs and limiting defaults. He has established his reputation for building relationships with ZINC's borrowers overseeing a $50 million portfolio.

TODD PIGOTT

Job Titles:
  • PRINCIPAL
In a word, Todd is passionate about the private money equity space. Previously, over an 18-year period, he held the position of President of one of the largest interior and exterior maintenance companies in the central valley employing over 400 individuals. Sold in 2006 to a private equity firm in New York, he now devotes all of his time and energy to his passion for private money lending. Today he presides over ZINC's four separate entities, all involved in the private equity space. ZINC is a licensed lender, not a broker, and we have our personal funds invested in the space our investors consider. This is a rare difference in the ZINC brand. To date, ZINC has originated hundreds of millions of dollars in private money loans, with a loss ratio of less than 1/8%. We oversee millions of dollars of private equity loans every day and fund millions monthly.
