Great question, and not surprisingly one we get asked a lot here at Yello Driving School. It really depends on how fast you learn and how quickly you pick things up. As a guide, the DVSA state that the ‘average' pupil should be test ready (ie safe!) after @ 40 hours of professional instruction so long as they get some (say an extra 20 hours) extra practice in with family and friends. We have had pupils pass with much less tuition than this, and others who have needed more...
