DR JT BOTHA - Key Persons
Dr Arina Opperman, originally from Worcester, obtained her MBChB degree at the University of Stellenbosch in 2005. She completed her Internship in Rustenburg Provincial Hospital and Community Service in Mossel Bay Provincial Hospital.
She has been in Private Practice since 2008, working in Mossel Bay, Upington, Rustenburg and Sedgefield. She and her husband, Charl, and three children enjoy playing tennis and visiting the beach.
Dr. Johanna Botha (originally from Oudtshoorn) completed her medical studies (MbChB) at the Stellenbosch University in 1989. After her internship at Tygerberg Hospital, she worked as medical officer at 2 Millitary Hospital in Wynberg. Dr. J Botha and her husband practiced as district surgeons in Calitzdorp from 1992-1996. While her husband furthered his studies as a Phychiatrist, she worked at various day hospitals in Cape Town.
They relocated to George in 2003, where she worked as general practitioner in Pacaltsdorp untill June 2015. Dr. Botha started her own practice in Heatherpark in July 2015. Dr. Botha is married to Dr. Johan Fourie (a private psychiatrist in George) and they have two daughters, one son and a son-in-law. While working in Pacaltsdorp, she started a social upliftment project (Cotton Crochet Company) and it is still going strong. After hours she enjoys sewing and needle-crafts.
Our resident medical receptionist at our practice shares our passion in the medical field and loves working with our patients. She handles all the telephonic and online booking schedules, all medical remittances and interactions with medical aids.
Jocelyn has a vibrant, outspoken, positive and uplifting personality. She deals with all issues patients may experience with their medical aids. She started her experience as medical receptionist in 2009 at the Pacaltsdorp Surgery and decided to join Dr Botha at the new Heather Park surgery in 2015. Jocelyn will asssit with any needs the patients may require to the best of her ability.
