HAWKYARD COTTAGE
Updated 3 days ago
This Grade II cottage is in the heart of Dobcross, one of Saddleworth's most picturesque villages. Built in 1765 in contains a wealth of period features, oak beams, a farmhouse kitchen and a vaulted ceiling in the main bedroom. The rows of weaver's windows offer spectacular views and the patio and garden, although in the centre of the village, provide a quiet retreat. The cottage is a short walk from the two character pubs in the village, both of which offer excellent food as well as traditional ales. A ten minute walk along the beautiful Huddersfield Canal towpath leads to Uppermill, the main commercial centre in Saddleworth, with its many shops and a variety of eating and drinking establishments.
