At Cogmagun Poultry Processing Company, we supply free range poultry and meat products for families and commercial food providers who are concerned with the ugly realities of factory farming. Our free range poultry and meat products are produced on our farm, not far from Halifax... We are a first and second generation family farm. As a child, nothing was more rewarding than a trip from the city to a country farm where I could enjoy the freedom of the great outdoors with the animals. I didn't know that becoming a farmer would be my vocation until my husband and I bought an old abandoned farm in Hants County in 1974. We never looked back, spending the next 2 decades clearing alders, plowing the fields, and building a sustainable farm with our growing family.
