In operation since 2002, Optometry Scotland is governed by a Council and Executive Committee, including independent and multiple representatives and members of the Association of Optometrists (AOP), Federation of Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians (FODO), the College of Optometrists and the Association of British Dispensing Opticians (ABDO), alongside an operations team based in Glasgow... Operating for more than two decades, Optometry Scotland is committed to advancing world-class eye care in the country. Our dedicated team works on behalf of our members to preserve the integrity of the General Ophthalmic Services (GOS) contract. This is done through lobbying for better support services, enhanced status for the Optometric and Dispensing professions, and sustainable funding mechanisms.
