Originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jake Strain has around 5000 jumps and loves all aspects of running a DZ.
His parents worked hard and by example instilled in Jake the values of integrity, respect, persistence, and love. He has carried those lessons into his personal and professional life and believes you should hold your family and friends near.
Jake was a sports fiend from the word "go". Competitive by nature, he played baseball, football, basketball, soccer, and ran track through high school. Being in the "zone" is what he loves most about sports. His other favorite past-time as a child was jumping off the cliffs by the many lakes the family visited while camping around Oklahoma. If there is a defining childhood moment, it would be his technique for getting off any cliff that scared him. He would count to three and just go! Sounds a lot like BASE!
Co-owners Jake Strain and Luke Church practice safety protocols in congruence with the USPA requirements for certification. Customer service is the heart of our business offering the best possible tandem experience from start to finish.
Luke Church grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. When he was fourteen, he saw a BASE jump video on the internet and knew that was what he wanted to do. With more than 6000 jumps he has found skydiving to be as exciting as Base jumping.
Luke's favorite part of owning a drop zone is the people that come to skydive. He understands that one jump can change a person's whole life. Watching people overcome their fears and being really tuned into the moment never gets old. Every person who comes to skydive has a story, and they all leave the DZ changed in profound ways. The opportunity to share his passion with everyone reminds him why his motto about life is GO ALL IN!
