The office is responsible for the strategic vision for research, developing and executing initiatives to accomplish the vision, as well as the various compliance and support areas. VPR works to catalyze, support and safeguard UVA research... The Research Development team at the University of Virginia is a strategic resource for promoting research development across Grounds. As part of the Office of the Vice President for Research, our mission is to help UVA researchers identify funding opportunities, form effective teams, and develop successful proposals. We provide services that add value to those of our partners across Grounds, and emphasize support for interdisciplinary research with the ultimate goal of increasing the quality and quantity of externally funded research at UVA.
