Axel Rescanieres

Axel works in the Portfolio Management team of HICL Infrastructure PLC, the LSE-listed core infrastructure investment company managed by InfraRed. His primary responsibilities include financial management and reporting in relation to its investments; including forecasting, budgeting and identifications, and implementation of yield and value enhancements initiatives. Before joining InfraRed in 2022, Axel was a manager at Grant Thornton in the Valuation and Modelling team. He advised clients across a variety of sectors including core infrastructure and renewable energy sectors. He has more than five years' experience in infrastructure and finance.

Chris Gill

Chris joined InfraRed in 2008 as Deputy Chief Executive, originally having joined Midland Bank, later acquired by HSBC, in 1981. Initially focused on project finance, Chris has had extensive involvement with a variety of leverage, structured and cashflow based financings internationally. Between 1991 and 2002 he held a series of Credit roles, culminating in becoming Head of Credit Risk Management for HSBC in London. He also sat on the Board and Investment Committee of HSBC Private Equity Europe (now Montagu Private Equity). From December 2003 to August 2008, Chris was responsible for HSBC's global private equity investment activities and sat on the boards (and investment committees) of HSBC's private equity businesses in Asia, the Middle East, US and Canada, and on the boards/advisory boards of a number of third-party funds.

David Williams

David joined InfraRed in 2015. David works in the Portfolio Management team for HICL Infrastructure PLC. His responsibilities include managing and enhancing the activities of the fund and its portfolio of investments, portfolio valuation, transaction structuring, and financial and investor reporting. Prior to joining InfraRed, David worked at Clubfinance advising client on PPP projects and previously led the financial management of a number of PFI projects at Bouygues UK. David is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and holds an MBA from Leicester School of Management.

Edward Hunt

Edward Hunt is the Head of InfraRed's core income group of funds and is Fund Manager of HICL Infrastructure PLC, the LSE-listed core infrastructure investment company managed by InfraRed. He joined InfraRed in 2008 and has held positions in InfraRed's offices in London and Sydney, spanning income and capital gain strategies and across core and energy infrastructure. While in Sydney, Edward assumed responsibility for InfraRed's regional office, leading the origination and execution of investment opportunities and sitting on the boards of successful investments in the region. Prior to this, Edward was a member of the InfraRed team looking after HICL in London. Edward joined InfraRed from the group strategy team at AMP. Edward has more than 15 years of experience as an infrastructure investor and is a member of both HICL and TRIG Investment Committees. Edward holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Sydney.

Frances Davies

Frances has more than 30 years' experience across various roles within the asset management and investment banking industries. Since 2007, she has been a partner of Opus Corporate Finance, a corporate finance advisory business. She currently holds non-executive roles on the JP Morgan Smaller Companies Investment Trust Board; Aviva's With-Profits Committee; the Aegon Investments Ltd Board; and the committee of the Hermes Property Unit Trust. Frances previously held directorships at SG Warburg & Co Ltd, where she specialised in currency and interest-rate risk-management advice; Morgan Grenfell Asset Management, where she was responsible for the pooled funds' business across both institutional and retail investors; and Gartmore Investment Management, where she was Head of the Global Institutional Business. She graduated with an MA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics and an M.Phil. in Management Studies, both from Oxford University.

Hal Cullity

Hal joined InfraRed in 2019. Hal responsible for all aspects of the Investor Relations function for HICL Infrastructure PLC, the FTSE 250 listed core infrastructure fund managed by InfraRed. This includes reporting to HICL's shareholders, capital raising activities and all external communications. Prior to joining InfraRed, Hal was an Investor Relations Associate at Cyrus Investment Management where he was responsible for fundraising, shareholder communication and corporate governance. Hal has a BEng (Hons) and a BCom both from the University of Western Australia, holds the Certificate in Investor Relations from the Investor Relations Society and is a Charted Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA).

Helen Price

Helen joined InfraRed in 2021. Helen holds the Finance Director role for HICL Infrastructure plc and leads the financial and portfolio management of HICL as well as other pools of capital for the core income funds. Prior to joining InfraRed, Helen worked at EFG Private Bank Ltd where she was CFO, an Executive Director and a member of the management committee. At EFG she was responsible for finance, tax and treasury. Previously Helen was the Group Financial Controller for 3i Group plc where, amongst other responsibilities, she was responsible for financial reporting and valuations. She has an English Degree from Nottingham University and is a qualified chartered accountant.

Jack Paris

Jack is the Chief Executive Officer of InfraRed and focuses on the development of InfraRed's strategy to drive the evolution and growth of the business. Jack is also responsible for InfraRed's business in the Americas, managing and growing the existing platform, and oversees InfraRed's North American renewables strategy. Before joining InfraRed, Jack was Co-Head of Citi's Global Power & Renewables investment banking business. While at Citi, Jack advised on over $100 billion of transactions including, mergers & acquisitions, business unit divestitures, spin-offs, IPOs, project financings and other structured transactions. Before that, Jack worked at Lehman Brothers in their Power & Utilities Group.

Kenneth Reid

Ken Reid is a Chartered Engineer with more than 35 years of international experience in the sectors of construction, services, development and infrastructure investment. Working initially with Kier Group, and then from 1990 with Bilfinger Berger AG, he has been a project leader and senior management executive responsible for complex projects and companies across all continents. From 2007 to 2010, Ken served as a member of the Group Executive Board of Bilfinger Berger AG. Ken graduated in Civil Engineering from Heriot-Watt University with First Class Honours, and subsequently from Edinburgh Business School with an MBA. He is a long-standing Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers, and is a member of the Singapore Institute of Directors. Ken currently also serves as a non-executive director of Sicon Limited.

Liz Barber

Liz Barber has nearly 30 years of experience in advising UK regulated utilities in senior leadership positions. She served as CFO of Kelda and Yorkshire Water for 9 years, followed by 2 years as CEO, leading a successful CMA referral and initiating a significant transformation programme. Prior to this she was a partner at EY where she had a number of senior roles, specialising in audit and assurance and advising regulated utilities and utility regulators. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAEW). Liz is currently the Senior Independent Director and Remco Chair for Cranswick plc, Audit Committee Chair of Encyclis Limited and a Non-Executive Director of Renew Holdings plc. Pro-bono roles include chairing the ICAEW Sustainability Committee and member of the Technical Standards Committee and Chair of the Yorkshire and Humber Climate Commission.

Martin Pugh

Martin Pugh has over 35 years in the infrastructure industry, spanning roles in construction, development, investment, asset management and strategic projects. Most recently he has provided executive management support to several major infrastructure projects and prior to this he held senior executive positions within Bilfinger Project Investments, overseeing the investment performance of assets in multiple sectors and across the UK and Europe. Martin graduated in Civil & Structural Engineering and is a Chartered Engineer.

Mike Bane - Chairman

Mike Bane is a chartered accountant and retired from public practice on 29 June 2018. He has been a Guernsey resident for over 20 years. Mike was appointed to the Board on 1 July 2018. Mike has more than 35 years of audit and advisory experience in the asset management industry including in relation to infrastructure investment companies. He led EY's services to the asset management industry in the Channel Islands and was a member of EY's EMEIA Wealth and Asset Management Board. Prior to EY, Mike was at PwC, in both London and Guernsey. Mike was President of the Guernsey Society of Chartered and Certified Accountants from 2015 to 2017. Mike graduated with a BA in Mathematics from the University of Oxford and is a long-standing member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Mohammed Zaheer

Mohammed joined InfraRed in 2018. Mohammed is a member of the team that has day-to-day responsibility for HICL. His focus is on Investor Relations and Fund Management, encompassing financial reporting, investor and analyst interactions, contributing to fund strategy and board management. Prior to joining InfraRed, Mohammed worked in equity research at Citigroup covering European Utilities with a focus on the Renewables sector. Mohammed has degree in English from Queen Mary, University of London and is a chartered accountant.

Rita Akushie

Rita has more than 20 years' experience acting in leadership and finance roles for housing associations and charities, including at Newlon Group, where she was Chief Financial Officer and then Deputy Chief Executive; and subsequently as Group Finance Director for Thames Valley Housing. Rita has recently served as CFO for Cancer Research UK, and currently serves as CFO for the University of London. Rita graduated with a BA in Economics and French from the University of Ghana. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales and a Fellow of the Association of Corporate Treasurers.

Ross Gurney-Read

Ross joined InfraRed in 2018. Ross is part of the fund management team that has responsibility for the day-to day-activities of HICL Infrastructure PLC, the FTSE 250 listed core infrastructure fund managed by InfraRed. Ross' experience at InfraRed includes greenfield and brownfield equity investment as well as portfolio and asset management. Prior to joining InfraRed, Ross was a Senior Consultant at Steer Davies Gleave, where he provided strategic, commercial and technical advice to a range of clients across the infrastructure sector, with a particular focus on transport. Ross holds a BSc in Economics from the University of Warwick which included a year of study abroad at Sciences Po Paris.

Simon Holden

Simon, a Guernsey resident, brings Board experience from both private equity and portfolio company operations roles at Candover Investments then Terra Firma Capital Partners. Since 2015, Simon has become an active independent director to listed investment company, private equity fund and trading company Boards. Simon holds the DipIoD in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors, graduated from the University of Cambridge with an MEng and MA in Manufacturing Engineering and is an active member of Guernsey's GIFA, NED Forum and IP Commercial Group.

Stewart Orrell

Stewart joined InfraRed in November 2015. As the Head of Infrastructure Asset Management, Stewart is responsible for managing the activities of the asset management team looking after InfraRed's portfolio of infrastructure assets. Before joining InfraRed he worked at Balfour Beatty since 1998 and there held a variety of roles within their infrastructure business, most recently responsible for developing and managing their economic infrastructure investment activity. Stewart has over 20 years of financial and asset management experience and is a chartered accountant having qualified with Price Waterhouse. Stewart attended Cardiff University and holds a BSc in Economics.
