Dr B.Kranthi Kiran

Dr. Kranthi Kiran also had fellowship training in Geriatric psychiatry from UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII in Honolulu, U.S.A. He is one of the very few fellowship trained geriatric psychiatrists in the world. Dr. Kranthi kiran had the distinction of treating several celebrities in U.S.A. whose names cannot be revealed for confidentiality purposes including major league baseball players, models, musicians, professional boxers and NFL players. Dr. Kranthi Kiran worked in collaboration with Mr.Darryl Strawberry an American baseball legend and served as Medical Director of The Darryl Strawberry Recovery Centers to help sports personalities suffering from psychiatric disorders. Dr.Kranthi Kiran also served as a consultant psychiatrist for the United States Armed Forces including the elite U.S. Navy SEALS and U.S. Marines. He was also a consultant psychiatrist for U.S Department of Veterans Affairs and treated several veterans suffering from combat related Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Dr.Kranthi Kiran is certified for administration of electroconvulsive therapy and transcranial magnetic stimulation . He treated hundreds of patients using brain stimulation techniques over the span of several years to help mood disorders and psychosis. He was a consultant psychiatrist for medical, surgical and intensive care units in several hospitals in USA over a span of 20 Years. He had a very busy outpatient practice and also ran dual diagnosis programs for patients with alcoholism and other substance use disorders. Dr. Kranthi Kiran, M.D. offers in-person consultation in his clinics located in Banjara Hills and Financial District of Hyderabad the " Happening city" in India. Dr. Kranthi Kiran continues to treat patients living across five continents-North America, Asia, Europe, Africa and Australia .He provides telepsychiatry services for patients living all over the world. Dr. Kranthi Kiran's areas of interest include neuropsychiatric disorders, bipolar disorders, depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, brain stimulation techniques and psychopharmacology. Dr. Kranthi Kiran supervised medical students and residents from the Chicago medical school and University of Hawaii as a Junior attending physician. He served as Chief Resident during his 4th year of residency training at The Chicago Medical School.
