Dr. Vasu Brown

Dr. Vasu Brown is a medical school graduate from The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, centered in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Her medical informatics fellowship was completed at Harvard-MIT NLM with MGH-LCS. She also holds fellowships on Guided Therapy with Bringham and Women's Radiology Department, Integrative Cardiometabolic Medicine and received academic appointments through Universal Health Services and Vibra Healthcare, the New Bedford Rehabilitation Hospital in Massachusetts. Dr. Brown is schooled in The Ayurvedic Sciences, and is authorized to host and guide the Panchakarma Detoxification Experience. She is also a medical cannabis doctor with expertise in addiction. Dr. Brown will guide all in house Colon Hydrotherapy treatments, Ayurvedic consultation and integrative health matters. She is available by appointment only.

Jen Lee

Jen began practicing yoga in 2002 and has been teaching at Raffa since 2014. She completed her 200-hour Vinyasa teacher training at Raffa Yoga, 300-hour training in advanced studies of traditional Hatha yoga with Theresa Murphy, and Yin teacher training with Theresa Murphy. Jen's preferred style of yoga to practice and teach is slow Vinyasa, Stretch, and Somatic movement. She synthesizes years of study in classical yoga, mindfulness and somatic. Her teaching brings together various methods to fully support the body, mind and spirt. Her approach enables students to find greater depth of understanding and awareness in their practice. One of Jen's favorite quotes is "You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf." - Jon Kabat Zinn. She is honored to be able to help students to explore and discover their own path to health, peace, and happiness. It is her great joy to witness students transform with yoga.

Mark Carrera

Mark holds a bachelors degree in political science from the University of Rhode Island. In the past he has worked in the technology, mortgage, and restaurant industries. In 2014 Mark came to Yoga for his first class at the tail end of a 40 day juice fast. He immediately was hooked! When the opportunity arose to enter 200 hr teacher training program; he jumped on it and never looked back. Becoming a yoga teacher was something he wanted to do! Mark has been practicing for the past seven years and had been teaching since August 2016. His focus in life is health and well-being, and helping others along their path. Alkalize, Detoxify and Regenerate is the route. Expect a powerful heated Baptiste-Influenced Vinyasa Flow for the body mind and spirit.

Stefany Reed - CMO

An instructor at Raffa since 2010, Stefany believes you are never too old or too young to learn fabulous new things. Her teaching style incorporates a welcoming blend of yoga styles which she integrates into easy to understand instruction for students with various levels of experience. Not a naturally flexible person, Stefany is passionate about helping yogis of all levels, regardless of their degree of flexibility, to deepen their practice through luxurious, Yin style yoga classes where mind, body and spirit connect and align. Stefany's clear, precise and intuitive instruction combined with her encouraging and playful teaching style allows students to improve the fundamentals of their yoga practice regardless of their level of experience. Stefany's classes regularly include tips and advice regarding the development of a personalized home practice and the importance of incorporating the knowledge one learns by attending a regular program of group yoga instruction. Her personal yoga instruction has included anatomy and physiology, yoga philosophy, meditation, pranayama, the subtle body and the science of Ayurveda. Stefany is a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher and continuing education yoga instructor (RYT-500, E-RYT 200 and YACEP) and is passionate about sharing yoga information with her students. When she's not teaching yoga, Stefany works as the marketing director on the Briarcliffe Senior Living Campus and she is also a Certified Dementia Care Practitioner.
