Daniel Andrew Carnegie, MD, MPH, MBA graduated Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, DC in 2008. After completing 3 years of general surgery residency, he went on to complete a surgical oncology and breast research fellowship at the Johns Hopkins University. During his time at Hopkins he also earned his MPH and MBA degrees with concentrations in health finance and management, and discovered his passion for leveraging technology to improve health outcomes. Dr. Adam Goldstein is a Professor and Director of Departmental Advancement at the University of North Carolina (UNC) Department of Family Medicine. Dr. Goldstein is the Director of Tobacco Intervention Programs (Tobacco Treatment Program and Tobacco Prevention and Evaluation Program) at the UNC School of Medicine. Dr. Goldstein's research has had extensive local, regional and national influence through print, radio and television media, with over 200 articles, essays, book chapters and books, featured in CNN, CBS evening news, the New York Times and Wall Street Journal. Dr. Goldstein mentors medical students, residents, fellows and graduate students and has taught internationally on leadership development, substance abuse, health policy, cancer and clinical medicine in Moldova, Ukraine, Armenia, Argentina, Chile, Haiti and Israel. He is the founder and Co-Host of UNC Health Care's YOUR HEALTH®, a syndicated, weekly one hour radio show on health, healing, medical care and ethics (www.yourhealthradio.org). In graduate school, she received an Interdisciplinary Certificate in Aging and focused on quality-of-life improvements across the lifespan. Julie offers tobacco treatment counseling to patients in the hospital, encouraging patients to examine their current and chronic health conditions within the context of their tobacco use. Julie participates in quality improvement projects, contributes to academic research and publications, and serves as a field instructor for master's level social work interns.

Senyene Hunter MD, PhD, a physician-scientist, is co-founder of the Epilepsy Neurogenetics Initiative (ENGI). As the Research Core leader, Dr. Hunter partners with research collaborators and basic scientists to study best practices and guide future implementation of genomic technologies. The Research Core basic science collaborations aim to improve the understanding of cellular, molecular and nervous system function underlying epilepsy genetics and identify pathogenic gene variants and candidate risk genes.
In addition, the Research Core aims to provide patients with state-of-the-art care by improving patient access to clinical trials and translational research, connecting families to local, regional and national studies, and linking patients to genetic-specific treatment clinical trials.

As the Genetic Testing Coordinator, he oversees the development of genetics testing protocols and individualized patient testing progression. The Genetic testing coordinator aims to assure standardized, efficient, patient-centered testing while providing patients access to cutting-edge molecular testing and laboratory resources. Evaluations are tailored to individual patient's needs, and testing is personalized to the patient in the context of previous results and case discussions.
