With only 2,800 prime plots of Good Class Bungalows (GCBs) across 39 gazetted areas, GCBs are the pinnacle of Singapore's residential property market... The earliest two bungalows owned by The Straits Trading Company are called Atbara at 5 Gallop Road and Inverturret at 7 Gallop Road. They were designed by R A J Bidwell from Swan & Maclaren. Respectively built in 1898 and 1905, these two Black and White Houses are possibly the oldest Black and White Bungalows in Singapore today... Today, the company continue to own a unique collection of GCBs, all freehold, nestled in Chatsworth Park precinct with different architectural style and individual discerning taste and preferences.
