NDIA GREAT RIVERS CHAPTER

The NDIA Great Rivers Chapter (formerly the St Louis Chapter) was instituted in January 1928 when the organization was still the Army Ordnance Association and remained an active partner through the 1990s. It was reformed 81 years later in January 2009 based on the recognition of the growth of the "industrial base", the defense and homeland security industries in Missouri... We have a substantial stake in the defense economy - we know from official state reports - that in Missouri alone the value of goods and services bought by DOD is $14B. But every member should also be aware that this level of business is not stable - the Budget Control Act, military force cuts, foreign assistance programs, BRAC, veterans programs, weapons systems acquisitions are constantly in motion and the sum is a confusing array of ups and downs... We continue to look for your involvement by staying engaged - we constantly need volunteers to step forward to leadership jobs too.
