At Nelson Upholstery Studio we allow customers to visit our workroom at any time and see the progress on every project. You can even see our upholstery staff and seamstress at work! We want you to know who is working on your upholstery and where it is coming from so you can be confident in the quality of service you are getting. Our business has thrived since 1990 because we provide high quality, timely upholstery services... We work on antique upholstery which uses horsehair and cotton as stuffing. Modern stuffing consists of urethane foam and fiber. With an antique piece, if possible, we try to remove the horsehair, wash and dry it and put it back in the piece or purchase new horsehair. Antique upholstered pieces are more about the filler... Nelson Upholstery Studio provides a full suite of services including furniture upholstery, reupholstery and repair, antique furniture restoration, wood refinishing and repair.
