From the 1940 ‘til today we are witnessing a constant evolution of the CSR concept : the tendency of companies to combine the performance of their activities with the satisfaction of social, environmental, and economic needs of various stakeholders ; the appareance of the term , had already seen well before the outbreak of the Second World War but the informations about this period are often incompleted so the researchers take more in account the period after the 1950s in which an explosion of interest regarding CSR took place in the EU and worldwide . It thus appears the need to put more focus on the economic , social, environmental, practices, quantifying them in order to effectively evaluate the work of a company in the society.
