WOODBURY

In 2009, the School of Architecture at Woodbury University initiated its first off-campus design-build studio in partnership with the Ari Bhod Foundation for Tibetan Cultural Preservation. This studio gave architecture students the opportunity to design 250 sf cabins for use on the Ari Bhod site; over the summer we initiated construction on the first cabin designed by students. The spring 2010 Ari Bhod Design Build studio will initiate the first prefabrication design build studio for the second visitors cabin. The goals are to create a design that will minimize on site construction time and maximize the the use technologies available to the students, through the use of Woodbury's shop and digital fabrication labs.
