SOUTH DEVON PLAYERS - Key Persons
Laura Jury is the founder and main administrator of the South Devon Players.
An actor since 1996, and a director since 2000, Laura studied film production in Plymouth, and then went on to study a Masters in teaching theatre at the University of Exeter.
As well as acting as producer, director - and sometimes an actor - in the South Devon Players, Laura is a freelance actor registered with the Wintersmith Agency, and one of four theatre directors, nationally, on the Equity trade union Directors & Designers Committee, helping shape national best practice and policy in the entertainment industry.
Having experienced, first hand, how difficult it can be, to work in the entertainment industry as an autistic woman of colour, in the "regions", Laura is passionate about creating opportunities for people, regardless of their backgrounds and demographics, in the same area.

Ric Vince is a local actor and entertainer, specialising in character appearances as a pirate character Captain Blackheart of Brixham.
​Ric has appeared in a number of shows with us and helps Laura with the main administration and countersignatures for the company.

Ryanna is a frequent actor with us, as well as a freelance model, photographer and artist in her own right.
Ryanna is currently involved less than Laura and Ric due to life circumstances, and last played the part of Lady Macbeth, in our production of Macbeth.
