Arthur Burianne

Arthur Burianne (2015-2016) Research Engineer at the LICIT (ENTPE / IFSTTAR, University of Lyon), his current research interests is the estimation of the travel demand for the city of Lyon by optimization of four steps model. This includes the demand downscaling processes at street scale by the design of complex spatial grid system and associated features (GIS and statistic data matching). Also he produces the estimation of purposes related to travels for the simulation game. Arthur Graduated from Lyon 3 University in 2012 with a Msc specialised in Urban Geography. He gained professional experience in public reasearch sector around railways and roads traffic issues.

Charlotte Duruisseau

​Charlotte Duruisseau (2017-2018) Research Engineer full time on MAGnUM. She is currently conducting an extensive Sensitivity Analysis of network performances to its loading, supported by dynamic traffic simulation with Symuvia platform. Charlotte graduated in 2016 from the engineering school Mines Saint-Étienne, with a MSc specialized in Data Science and Operational Research, applied to Smart Mobility. She gained professional experience in private and non-profit sectors in California, Mexico and Hong-Kong, around urban transportation operations. Her research interests include systemic and user-centric approaches to urban mobility, as well as solution prioritization for a global impact on equity and efficiency in mobility.

Dr. Cécile Bécarie

Dr. Deepak Ingole

Dr. Deepak Ingole (2017-2020) ​ He is a post-doc researcher at LICIT (affiliated to IFSTTAR, ENTPE, and University of Lyon) and working on perimeter control of urban transportation systems using Model Predictive Control (MPC). In 2017, he received the PhD degree in Process Control Engineering from the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, Slovakia. Before moving to Slovakia he was a project engineer for 2 years (2012-2014) in Virtual Labs at College of Engineering Pune, India where he completed his Masters of Technology (M. Tech) degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering in 2012. His research interests include perimeter control of traffic networks, model predictive control, universal numbers, process control, and embedded systems.

Dr. Guilhem Mariotte

Dr. Guilhem Mariotte (2015-2020) ​He graduated in 2014 from the civil engineering school Mines Nancy (France), and also got a joint MSc in natural and industrial risk management with the Engineering School of Geology (Nancy, France). During his trainings he focused on simulation tool development and statistical analysis applied to geotechnical engineering. His research interests include now large-scale transportation systems, new challenges in urban mobility and traffic flow modeling and simulation. Dr. Jean Krug

Dr. Jean Krug ​ Research Engineer at the LICIT (ENTPE / IFSTTAR, University of Lyon), his current research interests include the estimation of the travel demand for the city of Lyon, the demand downscaling processes at street scale, the design of the networks and associated features (shortest paths, mathematical graphs). Also, he is carrying out simulations using the microscopic traffic simulation platform Symuvia in order to provide data for the simulation game sessions. Passionate about penguins, his eternal quest for the optimal system leads him to travel the world in the most remote lands...

Dr. Sergio Batista

Dr. Sergio Batista (2015-2019) He graduated in 2012 in Astrophysics and in 2013 in Mathematical Engineering at the Faculty of Sciences, University of Porto (Portugal). He is currently doing research on the MFD simulation and the application of dynamic traffic assignment. His research focuses mainly on the scaling of microscopic into macroscopic networks as well as the modeling of user's behavior for route and mode choice, for the MFD simulation. His main scientific interests are traffic engineering and applied mathematics.​​ ​He just obtained his PhD (Fall 2018) and celebrated this by providing to the team litres of Portuguese wine.

Humberto Gonzalez

Humberto Gonzalez (2016-2019) Supervisors: Pr. Ludovic Leclercq & Pr. Nicolas Chiabaut ​He studied a bachelor degree in applied mathematics at the Autonomous Institute of Technology of Mexico (ITAM), and a master degree in data mining at the University of Lyon. He is currently doing research on the probabilistic modelling of the choices of travellers, for which he is working with the Simulation Game platform to obtain experimental data on travellers' choice behaviour.

Mostafa Ameli

Mostafa Ameli (2016-2019) Supervisors: Pr. Ludovic Leclercq & Pr. Jean-Patrick Lebacque (IFSTTAR-GRETTIA) ​He is working at the GRETTIA Lab (IFSTTAR, University of Paris-Est) and LICIT Lab (ENTPE / IFSTTAR, University of Lyon). His research interest lies at the intersection of operations research and optimization. He is interested in developing algorithms and models that can be used for finding the equilibrium in the large-scale multimodal transportation systems. He received his BSc and MSc from the University of Tehran in industrial engineering and second MSc from ENSAM ParisTech in Mechanical engineering. His research has been used for solving multi-objective design problems assisted by surrogate models.

Prof. Ludovic Leclercq

  • Professor at IFSTTAR
Ludovic Leclercq is a Professor at IFSTTAR (The French Institute of Science and Technology devoted to Transport, Planning and Networks) and is affiliated to the University of Lyon. He received his engineering and master degrees in Civil Engineering in 1998, his PhD in 2002 and his habilitation thesis (HDR) in 2009. He is currently deputy director of the LICIT laboratory and head of a research group about traffic modeling and analysis. His research interests correspond to multiscale and multimodal dynamic traffic modeling and the related environmental externalities. Smart cities, mobility as a service, sustainable and reliable transportation systems are some of the applications his researches are targeting. He is a member of the editorial board of Transportation Research part B, CACAIE, and the Journal of Intelligent and Connected Vehicles, the committee "Traffic Flow Theory and Characteristics" of the TRB, the international advisory committee of ISTTT and is associate editor of Transportmetrica B and the Journal of Advanced Transportation. He has co-authored 56 publications in top peer-reviewed journals, has supervised 7 PhD and is currently supervising 6 PhD students. In 2015, he was awarded the most prestigious research grant in Europe, i.e. an ERC consolidator grant in Social Science and Humanities.
