Dr. Kaitlyn Mula Schiavone

Dr. Kaitlyn Mula Schiavone is a board-certified dermatologist and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She received her Bachelor of Science from Tufts University, where she graduated with honors. She spent time as a bench scientist before receiving her medical degree from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Schiavone was accepted by the F. Edward Hebert Health Professions Scholarship Program and commissioned as an officer in the United States Navy in medical school. After completing an internship at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, she served as Senior Medical Officer aboard the naval warship USS San Antonio. Dr. Schiavone then returned to Walter Reed to complete her dermatology residency and served on the hospital's ethics committee. Following residency, she practiced as a staff dermatologist and resident clinical educator at Naval Hospital Jacksonville in Florida. She also served as President of the Jacksonville Dermatologic Society. Dr. Schiavone is passionate about offering her expertise and experience in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology and is dedicated to treating patients of all ages. She firmly believes that every patient is unique and is praised for her ability to combine preventative care with individually customized treatment plans to help patients in reaching their specific goals.

Nadia Herrera

Nadia Herrera, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant. She graduated with honors from the University of South Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry. She earned her Masters of Science in Surgical Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, which provides extensive surgical training in addition to a comprehensive medical curriculum. In addition to having years of experience as a physician assistant in medical and cosmetic dermatology, Nadia also has also worked in surgical oncology and plastic surgery practices specializing in reconstructive surgery. Nadia's surgical background has fostered a passion for surgery, particularly in the area of skin cancer removal, as well as surgical removal of other skin lesions. As a certified and licensed physician assistant, Nadia works closely with Dr. Lily Talakoub and the rest of the team to provide care in the diagnosis and treatment of all general dermatologic conditions. Her surgical and aesthetic experience, love of medicine and commitment to quality patient care make her a vital part of the McLean Dermatology and Skincare Center team. Nadia is also well versed in non-surgical cosmetic procedures, including laser treatments for skin resurfacing and injectables, such as Botox, Dysport, and fillers. Nadia is an active member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA) and the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA).
