SANDHILL RIVER - Key Persons

Bill Bennett

Bill Bennett, one of a special breed of Labrador bush pilots, established the lodge on the Sandhill River in the 1960's. The club and river lease were purchased from Bill in 1999 by a group of Canadian and US fisherman, whose goal was to preserve and improve the club as a premier fishing experience. The building can accommodate 12 guests, 4 professional guides, a chef and a housekeeper. The lodge is comfortable and clean. The beds are excellent and the meals are terrific, with homemade breads, pastries and desserts.
