After university and a short period where I worked as a music and hi-fi journalist, I started my working life as a development engineer in several of Britain's principal broadcast companies. I worked for Cox Electronics on vision switchers, AVS, on motion-compensated standards converters and for Pro-Bel where I designed the Freeway routing switchers. For this last product-range, which featured ground-breaking digital-audio core routing, I was cited in Post Update magazine as one of the Twelve disciples of TV design. I was also responsible for part of the development of AVESCO's first product in the medical imaging field and for the installation of the beta-site version in the VA Hospital in New York... I spent 10 years with Miranda Technologies Inc., a leading broadcast electronics company serving as the company's MD for Europe, and as President of Miranda Asia, based in Hong Kong... Since returning to live in the Loire Valley in France, I started Phædrus Audio, a hardware audio..
