DRAPER

For the four years that we lived in New England while I was working on my doctorate we would go for walks and bike rides with our children and friends along the banks of the Blackstone river in southern Massachusetts... We live in a solitary location in northwest Manitoba. This blog is an online diary about our modified Draper Model D (DMD) loom, its history, its modifications, its refurbishment, our learning to use it, and our weaving on this wonderful machine today in this beautiful, quiet, isolated place in the north. We are strictly non-commercial weavers and donate our weaving freely to those who have less access to the necessities of life, such as blankets, throws, and shawls.
