EL PUENTE AWARDS SCHOLARSHIP DINNER

This year the El Puente Awards Scholarship Dinner will honor the incomparable Miguel Del Valle with the El Puente Award for Exceptional Leadership. Mr. Del Valle is one of the Latino community's utmost respected leaders because of his powerful work in breaking barriers to Latino leadership at the local, state and national level. The Chicago City Council Latino Caucus will be presented with the El Puente Award for Outstanding Leadership in Public Service for their collective work to protect and preserve the rights of Latinos in Chicago. Both Mr. Del Valle and the Caucus exemplify the mission of St. Augustine College by engineering bridges of opportunity for members of the community traditionally left outside the system.
